Wait. Why does Hermione have a Slytherin scarf under that Snuggie?

jojapeach 09-23-2009 01:32 PM

^^^EEEWWWWWWW! Maybe that's a Slytherin kid sitting next to her..., but why would Hermione be that close to any Slytherin for any reason? Maybe it's just a terrible photoshop.

There is not one part of that sentence that made sense to me :o

I guess I need to brush up on my HP.

jojapeach 09-23-2009 01:54 PM

You mean the Slytherin part? (I think my grammar is pretty on point. lol)

There are four houses for all Hogwarts students. Hermione is in the Gryffindor house (heroic do-gooders), and Slytherin is pretty much the evil-doer house out of all of Hogwarts. Those two houses are pretty much enemies, so it's weird that there's a green and white Slytherin scarf in the lower right corner right next to Hermione wearing her crimson and gold Gryffindor scarf as if the two are sitting next to each other. I think that's fairly unheard of in HP.

HTH :)

I feel like such a geek with all of that explanation....:o

LMAOOOO!!! I think you found HP overrated in that other thread. I'll try one more time because that's just the kind of girl I am. :p

Green & White = Slytherin =

Crimson & Gold = Gryffindor = :D

Sitting that close in a pic? Unlikely.

HA! Got it this time ;)

I think it was CG that talked about HP. I've only seen one of them (they were trying to save a giant bird-thing and had to go back in time). Yea...not my cup of tea lol

This is going to reveal the deepness of my geekness, but aren't slytherin colors Green & Silver?

jojapeach 09-23-2009 02:55 PM

You're right. I did a little research and found this intriguing editorial: http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/...-lindsey.shtml. And Gryffindor is actually red and gold. :o

Is this like the 39th thread taken over by HP talk? :p:o

Very interesting, but part of me died inside that somebody spent that much time analyzing the house colors.

As interesting as the analysis was, there was no way I could read the whole article. Too much, and there's a level to my geekness. I just hope there was some monetary gain in it, but I doubt it.

Oh I only got like a third of the way through. It gets kind of ridiculous how in depth some of HP related essays I have seen are.

Hold up! You just forced my mind to embrace the idea that there's other HP essays.

Quite a few actually. Somebody wrote like a 10 page piece on the nature of magic in the Potterverse.
