Soror, I will pray for him, his family and you also, as one of his main supporters. I went through a similar situation as the main supporter for someone who lost his mother last summer so feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss. It can be very taxing on you as a supporter while also grieving yourself as well so that's why I said that I would pray for you as well.

The future Mrs. David McMullen...
Quote:
You, your future husband and your soon to be in-law family should rejoice in knowing that your mother-in-law did not fall victim to cancer, but rather, she gained glory. Many of us here on GC can understand the collage of emotions that you all are feeling right now. I too lost my mom to cancer last March, March 14th to be exact, and there is no sense of pain, like that , than having to release your parent(s), or any loved one for that matter, to Heaven. As you already know to be, you coupled with his belief and faith, are David's crutch. Remind him that it is now his job to insure that moms didn't go without having left behind an incredible legacy for him and the rest of the family to hold high. Continue to strengthen him, especially during what can sometimes be moments when the dark cold recesses of the emotional maze that he's traversing, seems unsurmountable. You all are to find peace in Mother Mary's homegoing. She is surrounded by the only true eternal love that last, and she is now healed. 7th |
Soror Summerchild and 7thSonofOsiris,
thank you all for your lovely words. i'm about to cry myself! i feel really good in knowing that i knew her and that she was happy for us. also knowing that after her struggle that she is at peace helps a lot. |
Soror WenD08, try to take comfort in that. Also, you will be able to tell your children (if you decide to have children) about their Grandmother from a firsthand perspective. I will continue to pray for you and your fiance and the family.

My dad has kidney failure which set off some other illnesses. He has been hospitalized for the past week. Please pray for his healing, strength, and recovery. Thanks!

I'm a Daddy's Girl myself, so I can relate to how you feel about your father. I am praying for you and your father. Hold to God's unchanging hand.

Soror Rev, lemme sing to you a little ditty that I learned years ago. . . *ahem* I am healed, I am whole From the top of my head to my soles to the tips of my toes! I Peter 2:24 says I was And if I was, then I am! I am healed, I am whole! From the top of my head to my soles to the tips of my toes! We're believing God for a good report!!! We shall believe the report of the Lord! |
Thanks 7thSon and Soror btb87!
Like I told 7th in a PM I feel kind of foolish for freaking out about a biopsy, since people have shared thier experience with them. I guess it was the fact that something (heck anything) is abnormal, especially when on all other occasions everything is normal. That is where my maturity lacks, whereas I tend to be reactive instead of calmly thinking about things. |
