I was going to ask if you went to Norway Day, my sister performed. I'll catch up with you on Facebook.

I started allergy shots and got my Ambien prescription refilled, YAY! The burning and peeling on my face as a result of antibiotics is almost gone too.

I've sneezed about a million times today...ugh! Does DayQuil really have some stimulant in it? My bf said it did and thought it was bad but...I feel icky!

I thought I had sinuses that were draining and driving me nuts. I cannot hardly hear, went to the ER yesterday, and damn, I have bronchitis (?). It fooled me this time, usually I get a bad fever with it, but I haven't had one. I had to say, it's better than it usually is, so I caught it just in time, Thank the Lord for that! I can deal with the antibiotics, but the ER dr wasn't happy with my HBP.

I caught a cold that is going around...and one of its affects right now is that I have NO voice! I tutor elementary students and had to call in sick to work this morning because I can't even speak! I WANT MY VOICE BACK!!!

I think I'm suffering from a chest cold thanks to the shared AC in our duplex (moving at the end of the month...yesss!) and a lot of AC at work. I hope it's just a scratchy chest and congestion. I think I'll pick up some Airborne before work and start taking it from now on.

My doctor mentioned allergies a while back, but I woudn't think it would cause congestion in my chest. *sighhh*

I'm still very sick from food I ate. Stupid maple syrup and spices.

I have crohn's disease flare and drugs are not responding. Doctors want to remove the infected colon.

Oh! and my cat bit me last night.

You'd be surprised what allergies can do. My toddler had a cough for most of his life. As what seemed like a last-ditch effort, his pediatrician finally said, "Let's try some Zyrtec and see if that helps him." Sure enough, he's now cough-free. His only symptom was chest congestion, and since the cough is gone, I'm thinking the doctor was right about it being allergies.

You should give it a shot. It shouldn't really hurt anything if you take an allergy med (approved by your doc) and it doesn't help. (Except, of course, you're out the time and cost of the appointment and prescription.)

Allergic reactions can run the gambit to a bit of congestion to full blown anaplaltic shock where your lungs will close off.

If you get tested for allergies, you're only out one day if you're not that allergic to that many things, or at all. If you are a bad case, you'll find out, and you'll start to feel better.

Thanks, SydneyK and RU OX Alum. I actually went to the doctor a few days before my post, and she didn't see any infection. Just sinuses that were outta control. It's actually already gone. I took my regular store brand allergy medicine, and it cleared everything right on up. My allergies aren't bad, and I don't even experience allergies every spring and fall. That's why I didn't associate my symptoms with a cold.

I'm convinced I caught this one during rush...I mean, 1200 women moving through 19 houses of 150+ other women...germs are going to spread...

I've got a really bad sore throat, post nasal drip, a little chest congestion, sneezing, coughing, sinus pressure, headache...it's awful!

My PR teacher was concerned I have the swine flu, but I don't have a fever, so I don't know...at least that's what the dial-a-nurse said, ha! I guess we'll see at my Dr. appointment tomorrow...

Just as I predicted I am sick but not from swine flu. My nephew started preschool and caught something, and now I have it, my parents have it, and my sister has it. I developed a sinus infection, and it mimicked swine flu except I haven't had a fever. People who take their temperature and it is 97.4 - 98.5 do not have swine flu.

I am concerned though as some people who have died from the flu have had a second infection, bacterial, much like my sinus infection so I'm staying at home and took my antibiotic. I hate that I have no energy as I got a Wii last weekend and can't even enjoy it.

I'm sorry to hear that VandalSquirrel. I hope you can get better and play your Wii soon.

Seriously, it is sitting there in the box and my new Indiana Jones Lego game is so lonely. I've just been lying on the couch sleeping and watching television (got a new TV with the Wii, that did get set up, but it came with no HD cables, sigh). I'm supposed to go rafting this Saturday so I need to get better ASAP.

I thought I've been lucky to not have been sick for about 6 months now... and lo and behold, my lovely hubby and I woke up this morning pretty bad. (But since he said he had a bad headache most of the night and couldn't sleep and I just felt bad this morning, I'm saying he gave it to me :)) Sinuses, sneezing, really tired, and just feel the general 'ick' in the back of my throat that tells me some kind of sickness is coming. So I'm here at work, counting the hours (and the tissues) before I can leave after an important meeting at 11. Who schedules important meetings on Fridays anyways?!?! Total b.s.
