On campuses where they try to match as many girls as possible, they will go against the 5% recommendation and fill as many slots as possible. Also remember that the information I posted was from the 13th edition of the MOI (aka Green Book) and may have changed. It also doesn't take into account the new release figures calculations. Not all campuses are using the new calculations, I believe.

She got invited back to ALL after the open house round. Haven't heard about today's round yet. |

Can someone please explain the new "range" quota system?
I'm hearing that all of the quotas for UK this year are different depending on the number of returning members and how far from total you are. THis might also explain the differences in the numbers at UGA. |

I also heard that total was increased this year.

Here's my understanding of Quota Range. It's easier to understand (at least for me) to look at it working backwards. The final Quota number will be set during Bid Matching and is based on the total number of women who attend Preference. Prior to that, Panhellenic will let the Chapters know what the anticipated Quota Range is based on the current number of active PNMs for each round. The reason why it's a "range" is it's an approximation since there is no way to predict how many women will voluntarily withdraw from Recruitment or be completely cut.
Now for a general Alabama update. Yesterday we completed the 2nd round of Philanthropy Day. As already mentioned there were 11 parties this year, up from 10 previously. This made it an extremely long day for everyone involved. Plus it's been ridiculously hot, pushing 100 every day. Also as mentioned before, we started Recruitment with I believe 1353 total PNMs. Starting 3rd round (Skit Day) today, there are still 1250 active PNMs, so we have only "lost" 103. Keep in mind there was a group of women that signed up yet withdrew prior to Recruitment even starting and those that withdrew after 1st round but before even receiving their invites to the next round (which there were several). Considering those factors, I'm pretty impressed by the total retention rate so far. It will be very interesting to see these numbers after today and especially after Pref. Again as a reminder, this is our 2nd year using the new NPC Release Figure system. Perhaps after Recruitment is over I will have time to compare these to the years under the old system. |
Sigma Kappa @ UK took quota + 1 = 58. I don't know about the other chapters yet though?

So quota is 57? |

Thank you! They worked very hard this year. :) And yes, quota is 57. I wish I could share more about the other chapters but I've heard nothing but rumors! |
If anyone gets figures on Arkansas, please post. I am trying to use my contacts.
