Hello caps lock. I'm not sure I would be wanting to contact someone who grammatical errors in a business post. Granted I make grammatical errors, but if I were making a cover letter or school-wide email you best better believe I would use spell check and scan over it myself before the final product. This is just Spam anyways, just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in there (I'm in a bad mood and felt the need for a little snark). Plus Donald Trump, please....

I believe in MaryKay.....
I believe that the Mary Kay business is not a scam or a lie. When I went to a meeting, no one pressured me into joining or buying inventory. They don't teach you how to recruit and all the other stuff any of you have mentioned:confused:. If you don't make anything out of MK it is because you fail to try. I started MK with $300 and doubled it in less than two weeks. It does truly work for the people who keep Mary Kay Ash's memory alive. I don't lie to my customers on who she was and her story. Her products do work and I do test all of the products before I recommend them to anyone. Please don't ruin her good name and reputation. She was a remarkable woman.:)

I hate it when people Google Mary Kay and they find this discussion on GreekChat and they feel the need to take the time to register AND defend her name and honor.
People still aren't convinced, sorry. |
I miss the pretty pink cars! LOL

That was not Mary Kay's dream. Her dream was to enrich the lives of women because in the past women were thought to be inferior to men and were treated that way. She gave women the opportunity to make money on what we do best. She has developed remarkable skin care and cosmetics since she started the company forty plus years ago. The philosophy in Mary Kay is communication and relationship with customer and satisfaction guarantee. THAT IS WHY HER PRODUCTS REMAIN OFF THE SHELF OF ANY STORE.

I do not have to defend her honor. Many women believe in her and the company she left behind. You are in titled to your own opinion so don't hate on my opinion and hard core facts. I'm glad you are not in MK, you would have never carried on her wishes well (we are not selfish people as yourself). You will never get it and why many women love her and her company so.

Wow.
Most of the women on this site are members of women's fraternities, so we very much understand the struggle females had to be successful. Wanna hear about Jobelle Holcombe? or Ina Mae Boles? or Allie Simmonds? or Jean Vincenheller??? |

Those parties suck @$$!!! One of my really good friends just started selling MK, while I don't have bad opinions of the product, I believe in going to the store to get what I want......when I want it! |
Then you of all.........
Then you of all people should have learned how to see the good in women helping women. IF Mary Kay was such a scam, why does her company donate most of their percentages to finding cures for cancers that affect women and domestic violence. Open your eyes and learn how to trust. I've done my investigation on MK and the company as did others before me. Do not fill people with misinformation and your bad experience or misjudgment. Just because you do not like something does not mean you have to ruin it for others.

That is the point. You don't have to buy anything. You can continue doing what ever you want to do. No one is forcing you to get a facial/makeover or to buy the products. It's just something fun to do with friends, family, and those close to you.
|
I use Mary Kay because I like the products. I don't really care about the fact that they donate to charity or that they were founded to "empower women" or whatever-- most companies donate a substantial amount to charity or have some kind of philanthropic cause.
This is a message board. We can talk about whatever we want. If you don't like it, leave. You're welcome to continue talking about Mary Kay Ash, but you're not going to change anyone's opinions about the company, products, etc. It's your choice if you choose to waste your time. Welcome to Greek Chat. |
HA! I recently was stalked by a neighbor who had just started selling Mary Kay. I told her that the products were not for me and that the "facials" always made me break out. She still came and knocked at my door for about 2 weeks, then she would leave her business card on my car and at my door. No thank you, means no thank you!
Oh and I went to one of their meetings once for a friend of mine about 5 years ago....NEVER AGAIN! It was like a cult and even after I told my friend that I didn't want to sell it she would tell me things, like "you are the perfect woman to sell Mary Kay because your life is so busy." I even had a lady at Wal-Mart once stop me in the detergent aisle to ask me if I wanted to come to one of her parties. When I politely said no, she still proceeded to tell me about her products. If you have to beg people to buy your products, you might want to stop! I bet 90% of their sales are people who have purchased the products just to get the Consultants/Sales Director/whatever they call them to leave them alone. I will admit I bought nail polish from this lady a few years ago because she wouldn't stop bothering me. The nail polish ended up being awful and it didn't dry very well at all.... But that's just my two cents.... |
This thread is like David Duchovney's career. Every time you think it's over, it comes back.
