VICTORIA Gotti never had breast cancer, as the Daily News claimed on its front page last Sunday — nor did she ever suffer a heart attack or earn a law degree.
Matthew Rich, her publicist of seven years, quit in disgust on Monday because his best friend's mother had died of breast cancer, a source told PAGE SIX. Rich was said to be revolted that Victoria would promote the third season of "Growing Up Gotti" by making up such a tearful tall tale.

When we called for comment, Rich would only say, "I no longer work for Victoria Gotti." Asked if she had ever suffered from cancer, he replied, "No comment."

The daughter of legendary Gambino crime boss John "Dapper Don" Gotti was quoted in the News as saying: "The day I got my mammogram and the doctor told me I had breast cancer, it was in mid-November. I had a little pity party for myself and I cried all day . . . I lost 25 pounds . . . I was so exhausted, I could barely lift my arms."

But Gotti backed away from the story Monday night on CNBC's "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch."

The 42-year-old mother-of-three said she was not diagnosed with breast cancer as reported in the News, but with pre-cancerous cells she chose to treat aggressively before it became cancer. "What I had can be described as a scare," she said on the show.

She told us yesterday: "I could leave it alone and watch it, or get surgery. I chose to be aggressive and get the surgery." The surgically-enhanced blonde describes herself now as "100 percent well."

News columnist Joanna Molloy said: "Don't tell me Victoria is shape-shifting the truth again. She told us in January she had breast cancer, and that's the reason she took a leave of absence from Star magazine. She told us again last week, and we recorded it."

It might not be the first time Gotti has made a bogus bid for sympathy. A former friend said Victoria confided four years ago she had breast cancer, "but then she went into work the next day as if nothing had happened. I didn't believe it then, and I don't believe it now."

The News also goofed in reporting that Victoria suffered a "heart attack" a few years ago at one of her sons' basketball games. "The original story said 'heart incident.' An editor changed it to 'heart attack,' " Victoria told us yesterday.

In another howler, the News stated, "She got a law degree." At St. John's University, the only college Gotti has ever been known to attend, spokeswoman Suzi Halpin told us, "We have no record that she graduated from St. John's."

Gotti told us: "I have no law degree. I never had a law degree. I don't know where that got started."

"Conscious rapper" is one of those made up $2 terms for rappers who talk about things other than "money, cars, and hoes."

Eddie Murphy Is Getting It on With...?!
If the "Star" tabloid is to be believed, Eddie Murphy may have already found someone to replace his wife. That someone is Robin Givens, the former wife of Mike Tyson and Eddie's co-star in the 1992 cinematic comedy classic, "Boomerang". The "Star" says they met up at a Hollywood club and almost immediately started flirting. A witness says, "She was practically sitting on his lap. Robin was giggling like a school girl and flirtatiously batting her eyes. Eddie was clearly interested in every word Robin uttered, but it was she who did most of the overt flirting, rubbing his leg or occasionally touching his face. The only time the pair tore away from each other was to sip on their Skyy vodka and cranberry cocktails." Eddie's wife, Nicole, filed for divorce earlier this month. She and Eddie began dating in 1989 and got married in 1993. They have five children.

THE TRUTH IS REVEALED from industry "insiders"

Rumors are circulating throughout hollywood about the Eddie divorce battle, I was talkin to a industry friend last nite, she said, Nicole got sick of putting up with him and Johnny Gill. People had warned her years ago about the downlow rumors, she chose not to believe it until she witnessed it, eddie had got to the point where he didnt care, he often told her, he was the breadwinner and at least he wasnt cheating with women.

He became so brazen, Johnny came over to their house every
holiday, sitting at the table with nicole and the kids. Tevin Campbell and Sugar Ray Leonard are also heavily involved in
this scenario, they tried to recruit Mike Tyson (when he had money), and it worked like a charm, especially as he could bring in his DL boyfriend, LL Cool J ("Mama Said Knock You Out" was always dedicated to Mike, read the back of the CD liner notes, children).

Johnny is pathetic, he is with all these men and doesnt benefit,
before he reunited with new edition, he was so broke, he lived in sugar ray's guest house and I heard his wife wasnt too happy about it. They also stated that the following gentlemen are involved in their circle of DL brothers: Arsenio Hall, football player Johnnie Morton, Benny Medina (who got Will in the game in the first place) Will Smith (who then returned the 'flavor" and ushered his boys Duane Martin & Nick Cannon into the game), along with super male model stud Tyson Beckford and BET "DL" host, Tigga. They said that the reason his wife stayed knocked up is so she wouldn't be suspicious of his extra activities.

Is it just me, or does anybody else remember almost a half dozen years ago, when Eddie Murphy was caught in the middle of the night picking in Hollywood @ 4:30 AM picking up that transvestite (that "he was offering a friendly ride home to a seemingly damsel in distress excuse, I do believe he said)... that when this 'woMAN' was set to $ell her story to the inquirer, she mysteriously "slipped and fell from her window ledge to
her/his death, when she apparently was locked out of her apartment and saw fit to climb from her neighbors window ledge into her own". Now what 'kills me' is not only this stunt right out of an "I LOVE LUCY" episode that no self-respecting black man, woman, child or transvestite would ever participate in, but let's also make note that this mysterious "NEIGHBOR" whose
apartment she walked the ledge from... was NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN!

I ain't saying nothing... but Paramount Pictures' $5 billion dollar
baby needed to be protected at ALL costs, as he has been a consistent money earning machine for them on an
international basis for over two decades. So you put the rest of the puzzle together... let's just pray that Nicole doesn't end up out on any "neighbors window ledges trying to get into back into her apartment" in the event that so happens to want to write
a book about what the name of Eddie's New Jersey mansion; 'BUBBLE HILL" really stands for!?
