Jamie Foxx surprised me with the tears, but WTH was that in the back of his head, was that some type of Mike Tyson like tattoo?
|
I didn't see the show, but I saw Jamie's acceptance speech. I almost cried when I saw him hold back the tears. I was so happy for him. I hope he wins an Oscar. He will be going up against Leonardo DeCaprio and nem, but I think he has a chance. Everyone in hollywood seems to be pulling for him to win. I don't know what in the world that was on his head. He needs to let his hair grow back or something, cuz that wasn't cute at all.

The National Football League announced yesterday (January 13) that Alicia Keys will sing "America the Beautiful" at Super Bowl XXXIX (39). The song has long been associated with legendary singer Ray Charles--a Jacksonville native--who sang the song at the Super Bowl in 2001. Keys said, "I'm very excited to be playing at the Super Bowl for the first time especially because I will be singing a song made famous by an artist I admire, miss and respect--Ray Charles--along with the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind.
I know that this is going to be a very touching and memorable moment." Keys will be accompanied by 150 students of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, which Charles first attended as a child in 1937. The school children will do the lyrics in sign language while singing along with Keys' performance. This year's Super Bowl Half-Time show will feature a performance by Paul McCartney (news). The game will air on FOX at 6 p.m. ET, on February 6. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...aunch/14291570 |

LOL.
I guess it's semantics. My aunt and my grandfather (with his new wife at the time) moved to Cali when my aunt was 3 or 4 yearrsssssss ago. So, when my mother and I were discussing her sis-n-law, I said, well Aunt so and so won't be moving (back) "home". My mother was like what? I said, she won't be moving back to LA. So, motherdear(lol) says, my aunt probably doesn't consider LA home since she wasn't really "reared" in LA. I was like what! She was born here. LOL Also, Ray was involved with the movie project, as well as his son. So, if Ray wanted Jacksonville labeled as his "home" then so be it. Tell you father to Relax, Relate, Release. LOL :D |
