I sure hope Susan's secret about the fire died with her.

SATX*APhi 12-12-2004 11:09 PM

What happened on tonight's episode?! I caught the last two minutes and have no clue what's going on. Thanks. :)

I was unclear, did the son kill Dana by accident?

AGDee 12-13-2004 02:29 PM

I think the son BELIEVES that he killed Dana. I don't think he actually KILLED Dana. Also, the man who was talking about the chest said that they found an adult woman's remains in the chest, not a child's. There is more mystery than ever!

Recap(as best as I can):
Gabi was putting on a fashion show for charity and Susan was going to be in it, along with John's mom. John was volunteering for the show and Susan saw Gabi rubbing John's (leg) with her foot and guessed that they were sleeping together and confronted Gabi, who confessed. John's mom overheard John say something about being with a married lady to his buddy and started spying to figure out who it was. Susan was talking to John about the thing with Gabi and touched his face as she was talking to him. His mom saw this, assumed Susan was "the woman" and attacked her at the fashion show. Susan told Gabi she had to tell John's mom the truth and Gabi did so. She admitted that John was 16 when it started. At the end of the show, police show up at Gabi's house and she thinks they're arresting her for being with a minor but they arrest Carlos instead for some kind of shady business dealing. Susan and Gabi make up as Gabi cries about Carlos being taken away.

Bree: She catches her son smoking marijuana and is more concerned than ever that he has no conscience about hitting Gabi's MIL with the car. She makes son pee in a container and goes to the golf course to demand that Rex take it in for drug testing. He screams at her on the golf course and she throws the urine at him. She finds out from her daughter where the son keeps his weed, finds it in his locker and makes an anonymous call to the coach that it is there so the son gets busted. The dad isn't helpful and tells the kid he needs to be smarter about where he puts things and he needs to lie better to explain it. The kid is openly smoking it at home now.

Lynnette: Desperate for a nanny, she gets info from Bree on where the nannies take kids so she can try to swipe one. She ends up finding one and "steals" her from a really nasty lady.

Zach/Susan/Paul/Julie: Paul buries Mrs. Huber and the blender he hit her with. Zach escapes from the psych hospital and goes to Susan/Julie's house. Julie is helping harbor him and he opens up to her, telling her about Dana. He says he was about 4 (I think that was his age) and he heard his mom and dad yelling. They yelled his name and Dana's name and when he want to see what was going on, he saw a lot of blood. His mom hugged him and told him "it wasn't his fault" and nobody would ever talk about Dana again. He believes that he killed Dana.

previews for next week: The cops are taking everything of Gabrielle's and Carlos' out of their house. Lynette gets a nanny cam and is shocked by what she sees.. and then my VCR stopped.

Don't forget Julie and Zach kissed!!! Oh la la!

I had taped the show and watched it last night.

Being a CSI buff is starting to rub off on Desperate Housewives.

To blatently point out the obvious, if you looked at the pictures of the adult remains in the toy chest, there was a HUGE hole in the skull (not a normal orfice of course). I don't think little four year old Zach could hit an adult in the head with that amount of strength to add an extra hole to someone's head.

I'm still going for the "Zach's real name is Dana" theory and the whole family moved to Wisteria LN after the death of this adult. But how they buried the chest under the pool doesn't quite fit in.

Thanks AGDee for the awesome recap! :)

Interesting point I hadnt thought of that but the only thing that I'm not sure fits with that theory is Zach said he remembered his parents yelling at each other one night and mentioning his name and Dana's. So unless the parents were fighting about what to change his name to I dont see the argument being about just him.

Anyways does anyone else remember the guy that Mike, the plumber met with and his daughter came to visit Mike (the bull riding bar episode). In that episode they go to check out the open house at Zach's house and Mike tells the girl this might be the last place your sister lived. So I'm thinking maybe she was Zach's nanny and (this is where my imagination goes wild) she had an affair with Zach's dad, Zach's mom finds out about it and clubs her. I think Zach's mom did it since she killed herself when she got the note and Mrs Hubber mentioned knowing what she did. Thats just my theory...

Also the actress who plays Mrs Hubber was on an LA radio show last week and there are rumors that the actress who played Mrs Hubber might come back to play her twin sister (since we know she was going to go visit her sister).

I've been reading TWOP forums as well. Someone mentioned that the hole could be a bullet hole. And I've heard cases of toddlers getting ahold of guns and accidentally misfiring.

But something also to remember is that Zach (in his confession to Julie) said he walked in to find blood after he heard his parents yelling and he heard his name and Dana's name.

I also read a crazy theory that the dead adult is the "real" Mary Alice.

Supposedly that was considered but nixed. Mrs. Huber will be back in numerous flashbacks, but her sister, who will soon arrive on Wisteria Lane to look for her, will be played by a different actress. Mrs. Huber's sister apparently will have her own "evil streak."

oh my goodness, i am absolutely IN LOVE with the dress Susan was wearing for the fashion show...pre-cat fight, that is. ive been daydreaming about it :)

dzfan 12-16-2004 01:17 PM

It was indeed a beautiful dress on a beautiful gal;)

Question-has anyone else been hearing about how companies are pulling out thier advertising spots during the show? I read about it recently and I'm worried about this!

MysticCat 12-17-2004 10:29 AM

Haven't heard about any advertisers pulling out. Why would they? Why would any company pull advertising on one of the top-rated shows?
