275. I love that fact that SO MANY want to take credit for our founding for it's quite a testament to how GREAT we are.

276. I love the fact that I got to sing the Sweetheart Song for the first time in public with MY SORORS! Just thinking about it makes me want to shed a tear. I love my Sorors!!:D

277. The first storm of 2006 just swept through the Northeast, dumping anywhere between 13" to 24" of snow. In the DC area, many of us were without power for many many hours, some since 4 am. I want to thank my soror SG for taking me into her home all day, and feeding me so that I didn't have to stay in a cold house. It means a lot to have Wonderful Sorors/Friends by your side. It means a lot to know that I didn't have to worry about finding a warm place to hang out, but I knew that now matter which Soror/Friend I called, I was welcomed. I'm beyond Blessed!

281. Hearing wisdom from seasoned sorors makes my heart jump and mind race.
282. Being able to speak to over 200K women all over the world as sisters 283. Having an instant network when I travel or move to various locations. 284. To this day, I cannot imagine anything else. |
285. Starting a new job can be so stressful and not really knowing how things work, the working styles of your new co-workers can be a bit unnerving. But not me, I had and still get the help of a wonderful lady who celebrates 40 years in our Beloved Sisterhood! Thank you Soror SB!

Congratulations to the Berkley County Alumnae Chapter for celebrating thirty years!:D :D 298. As a part of sisterhood week, my chapter took the time to honor our charter members. It has been a long time coming for them to return, but those 78 ladies are representing! I got a chance to meet some of them Thursday and they greeted me with hugs and were very happy to meet and interact with me. Most of them even showed up at the event I mentioned in 296. These girls are very sweet and I'm glad they are my sorors and that they are back on campus!!:D :D |
300. My collegiate chapter just celebrated 30 years of continuous existence!
301. The chartering advisor, Soror Ruth Pratt, PhD, painted the picture of what it was like to charter a BGLO sorority, the first sorority of ANY kind on campus, a mere 10 years after a school that was previously all male opened its doors to women. |
