I think left wing/right wing is B.S. Why should the seating arrangements of the French Assembly monopolize discourse 200+ years hence?

Just because it is outdated from its original meaning doesn't mean it doesn't hold relevance as an indicator of political leaning today.

My quiz said "liberal" - and probably by national standards I am. Unfortunately, by the rather conservative standards of my current environment, I seem to have been labeled far-left. (Because, you know, if you don't eat red meat, you don't worship Bush, and you --gasp-- talk to gay people, then you must be some kind of horrible DEMOCRAT :p )

Now the not liking President Bush and talking to gay people may only indicate a liberal. But the not eating red meat? Yeah, you're off the chart liberal.
