Bird & Eva..... LET IT GO. I didn't quite agree with how Bird approached Eva about her not getting the talk show spot, but I understood where Bird was coming from.

"Usher" what are you trying to do? Get back at your Dad for what? Being proud of you and not wanting you to follow in his footsteps and be underhanded and dirty? And trying to sabotage Lem??? Do you know who Lem is??? "Every smart man doesn't have to go to college, but every smart man should" I like that quote, but he needs to understand that just because he went to college and Lem didn't doesn't mean that Lem doesn't know what he is doing. AND that because he (Usher) is from the "hood" doesn't mean that he has "Hood knowledge". Don't mess with Lem.... he ain't the one!

I totally understand why Soul Food is going down hill now. Not only because of the new writers, but these folks don't seem to have a clue on how to keep things flowing. In the first few seasons of the show, just about every episode related to the ones before them. My point: Bird had an abortion and IT HAS NOT been mentioned since then!!! Where's the connection? Are we supposed to forget about that? Teri got a ring last week? Did it disappear?

ZETAFG: I was thinking the same thing about the no mention of Bird's abortion. The table scene was a prime opportunity for Terri & Max to bring up the abortion & how she coulda kept that to herself.

I also noticed she wasn't wearing her ring.

Yeah I just knew the ABORTION would be bought up, ESPECIALLY BY TERRI!! They handled her outburst too well.

I thought last night was boring. I was thinking that it was going to be better than it was due to the previews.

I wanted to smack Eva in the mouth though when she pulled that mess about Bird acting irrational in her place of business! I thought Bird did the right thing. She just gave Eva a taste of what Gigi (Eva's ex) did to Bird when she came up in Bird's shop and started some mess.

Let's talk about Maxine and Terri for a minute. I thought they were both so out of pocket! Maxine was rational, but Terri? She was acting like the world was going to end just because Bird kissed a woman! It ain't that deep Terri! Bird had a curiosity. She satisfied it (at least, that's what she said. I think she was lying), and that should have been the end. All of that mention about Lem and Jay? Bird ain't dumb. She knows what's at stake. I don't think Eva has that much pull to take Bird away from her family. I personally don't think that's the end of Bird and Eva though.

And yeah, where was that awful ring last night?

Usher's character was a mess. Looks like he's trying to sabotage his daddy and make Lem the fall guy. We'll see how that turns out.

Poor Ahmad. He's just going through growing pains. He needs to get some sleep though. It ain't that deep.

I don't think Terri was irrational at all cuz Bird is constantly doign something stupid & they know how CRAZY Lem is & he will KILL bird's azz.

Yeah, I could see Usher's "print" as well. We are a stone cold mess! I thought I was the only one who was like "Is it me or are his pants hella tight?"

Baron had Lem actin' like a bytch in the kitchen to be honest. I was like "dang!"

I though Eva tripped like a dude because Byrd was not trying to really flow like that. She was wrong for not hippin' Byrd to the fact that she didn't get the job and I DIDN'T think Byrd "called her out" or acted unprofessional at her "place of business." She merely stepped to her like :what gives?"

I also thought the li[ lock would be much more dramatic and not so clumsy or what not. They really hyped it in the previews.

Overall, last night's ep was okay. I agree with whomever said I can see why the show may be cancelled. The concinuity sucks. Like next week I would "expect" that Lem is stil trying to get ole girl to sell the house but watch...they gon' be on some whole different new mess and you'll be like "what happened to Usher and his dad and Lem and...?"

I was thinking the same thing about Baron, im sorry, but NO ONE IS GOING TO BYTCH ME OUT IN MY OWN HOUSE!!! Lem standing up there looking like a battered housewife.........

Eva was just mad because Byrd didn't give up nothing else, but I really don't think it's over between the two of them. I would hope it is but you know how these story lines go............ If you ask me, Eva seems like she's on the nutty side, I mean did you see how she pulled Byrd on the dance floor when she saw that man about t approach Byrd, no telling what she would have done had Byrd start trying to flirt back with him.

The way the story lines go.... Eva will be history....in 2 weeks we will be like Eva who? Abortion what? The wedding is when? The fourth sister is where? Uncle Pete is back.... HOW? :p

Eva could have at least told Bird that the guy was coming over to her and to be cool... She did NOT have to snatch her away like that :rolleyes:

Lem & Jay are trying to recover from Bird making them both crazy.

Kelly finally takes a stand and enrolls in the Suntarded Kids Program, geared for those who really belong in special ed but refused to go.

That is my summation for the Series Finale of Soul Food on TV......:D

Was that in one of the episodes earlier in the series? I didn't start watching until the end of last season. OK, I know. I was a little behind in getting the premium channels. Basic was free, so you know that a sista had to deal with what she had. :D
