Wow.

I just re-read this whole thread. We seriously need to have an All GC Get-together sometime, i think it'd be off the hook. We could plan for it somewhere like KC where everyone would be able to make it.

But damn, those'd be some good times.

KS 361 times i miss my Texas wing buddies :(

A GC convention. In Tom Earp's back yard.

This is a fun thread. :D

I don't know where I want to live. In the alum wing (where I am sure there will be plenty of Grey Goose & Belvedere) or the Texas Wing. :p

Hey!!! The alum wing is the place to be! Absolutely there will be Grey Goose and Belvedere - we have a fully stocked bar. And don't forget the DVD porn ;)

I think I've found the house for us to live in...Well, SOME of us could live there...I can't find a good picture, though.

It's called Fair Field, and it's in the town of Sagaponack in The Hamptons in NY. Here's a brief description I found online:

Fair Field" is a home of legendary size and scope, that has become the focus of intense debate hereabouts. Set on one of the last large ocean front parcel, 63 acres in size, it will occupy some 100,000 square feet of living space, when completed. Measuring 66,000 square feet, the main house contains 25 bedrooms, 25 baths, 11 sitting rooms, 3 dining rooms, an extensive servants quarters. To imagine how big this home is, it must be measured against well recognized land marks. It's so big, you could drop the White House into it, with 10,000 square feet to spare! In addition, there is a 10,000 square feet playhouse, complete with bowling alley, and a 16,000 square feet garage, with enough stalls for 100 cars. Living large takes on new meaning, when you consider this sucker.

I want a room! How about a NYC wing??? So private rooms, other rooms should be double in a NYC wing...I know who I want as a roomie! :) But, you got to be a Yankee fan and able to deal with me when they loose to live on the same floor in the NYC wing as me!

*This threat is WAY to funny!*

Mandatory requirement for all wings - hot and cold running water and several taps for BEER!

Hire Ken Adam to design the interiors - he's the guy who created all those fantastically ultra-modern sets in the James Bond films.

Only vehicle allowed to park - the GC Special Edition Urban Assault and Party Vehicle - a stretch Hummer with armor plating, bulletproof glass, built-in grill for tail gate parties, fully stocked wet bar... and to keep the party crashers away, a power-operated .50 caliber twin machine gun turret with night vision goggles.

All the rooms gotta have waterbeds, too!

aephi alum 09-26-2003 03:52 PM

Oh man... do I stay in the alum wing or move to the NYC wing???

While living in a big-a$$ house in the Hamptons would be sweet... the alum wing already has the full bar and gourmet kitchen... and the extensive music and DVD collection... and all the rooms are singles, and I value my privacy too much :p

I'm going to do a little "wing improvement" though. We're going to hire a house mother, who will be a sweet lady who bakes us cookies and is always available to listen if you need someone to talk to. We're also going to hire a chef, who will cook gourmet dinners for us every evening, but will stay out of the way of any resident who wants to do their own cooking. And, of course, there will be a cleaning/maintenance staff. (We're alums. We're filthy rich. :p ) No bartenders - that's what pledges are for. ;)

The wing will be wired up for T1 internet access, so we can all access GC at high speeds. Wireless will also be available, so you can sit out on the deck with your laptop and your beverage of choice.

I might even be convinced to lift the ban on country music...

ETA: AlphaSigOU, I like the waterbed idea. All alum wing residents will have the option of either a waterbed or a regular king-size bed. And I'm adding some more beer taps... And while you have good taste in cars ;) we're also going to have plenty of parking for everyone's convertible and/or SUV.

More requirements for living in the NYC wing:

You must speak in New Yawkese. 'Dese', 'dems', 'dats' and 'doses', with a smattering of 'youse guys'. Don't forget that every word must be accompanied by a four-letter word as punctuation. Any reasonable request must be replied to with 'Fuhgeddaboudit!'

Build a pipeline direct from the Croton Reservoir, so only New Yawk water flows from the taps.

Kitchen must have a coal-fired pizza oven and a staff of New Yawk pizza and bagel makers. And enough fixings to make a proper Brooklyn egg cream.

Refer to anyone else living in the other wings as the 'bridge and tunnel crowd'.

Sorry, the MTA isn't gonna build a subway extension to the NYC wing. Believe me, I asked.

Ya gotta have a branch of Zabar's deli and the '21' club.

And direct, unscrambled satellite feed to the MSG network for watching Yankees and Mets ball games. Bosox fans enter at your own peril! ;)
