I knew it!

Okay...Ever since I saw that "Special Delivery" show on TV and saw Brandy's husband, I was like?????! I thought she was marrying a MAN! He was SOOO immature on TV. I told myself, "Well, that's not going to last, because she definately looked like SHE was more into HIM."

Poor Brandy...she and her "husband" are getting a divorce and she is 8 MONTHS PREGNANT with their SECOND CHILD!!! (don't know if this is true or not, but where I am, it's all over the radio)
Now how dumb is that!? I heard that they will "still be friends, and be there for the bab[IES], blah blah blah, etc."

All I wanna say is, "I knew it!"

It was announced on MTV last night that Brandy and her husband are officially separated.

I HATE THAT!!

CrimsonTide4 07-02-2003 10:17 AM

I was soooooo confused as to where I should place this. . .

Twenty-four-year-old R&B singer Brandy and producer Robert Smith have split after two years. According to reports, they will remain friends and raise their one-year-old daughter, Sy'rai, together. Sy'rai was born last June 16th, five months after Brandy announced that she was pregnant. Two weeks before that, in January 2002, the singer announced that she had secretly married Smith in the summer of 2001.

The couple's split may also extend to the studio. In place of longtime collaborator Rodney Jerkins, a cousin of Smith's, Brandy enlisted Timbaland to work on the follow-up to her 2002 Full Moon.

"I gave her a whole new style," Timbaland says. "She's not the Moesha Brandy that you're all used to. She's talking about people, she's lashing back. She talks about Rodney. She talks about people in her business, her lifestyle, just not knowing the truth about her."

Timbaland says the album will be called B-Rocka and come out by xmas

HUH?! I don't think that's a wise move, Brandy! Why wouldn't you want to work with Rodney...he is TIGHT! Her Full Moon album is still one that I bumb every chance possible. I like Timbaland, but I think Timbaland and Brandy don't mix! AAAAAND...why talk about Rodney Jerkins in your music?! Just get out of the situation and leave it be. I'm beginning to think their separation was a bit nasty.

I agree...seems like she was SOOOO into Rob that the separation hurt her feelings, which explains why all "talking back," switching people, etc. That's what I think.

This is going to be TOO MUCH! I can't wait until the album drops. B-Rocka.... Sounds just like a Rodney title. The first disc was cool and I love "Never Say Never." I have yet to get to "Full Moon." I may get it to see how it is.

Timbaland is starting to sound generic to me. Why do I feel a Missy Elliot EXCLUSIVE cameo coming....?

I am glad she is getting away from Rodney. . .that last CD was garbage. Her first 2 CDs still get rotation. On the 3rd one I can only bop to the ballads. The fast tracks had the same computerized sounding beats and I am sooooooooooo sick of "darkchild" and "b rocka". . . but if you like it,

I just want Brandy to find her own SOUND. . .Brandy and that B ROCKA/Darkchild was OVER DONE on CD #3. . . oh and to talk about Rodney and whoever else on your next CD --    Rodney was your BOY before you got with ROBERT. Also Rodney tried to tell you to take your time with Robert, but did you listen to him?

Come on now Brandy and Tim. She's lashing back? People in her business?...No one knowing the truth about her? She had her chance to come clean about her lifestyle and who she really is on television and with the baby documentary. If she did, no one would assume information and be in her business. She chose to put herself out like that. She wants the media to portray her in a certain way but everybody can see there is something else under the surface. I have never liked Brandy. She always seemed fake to me. She needs to find herself. Never bought a Brandy CD and barely watched Moesha so I doubt I'll be buying "B-rocka"

Girl, I was "Sweet Pea," too! After that didn't fly, I used the first syllable of my name and became Tra (tray) Boogie. I had rhymes AND sound sing hooks. Maybe I should bring that back and try to get on Murda Inc. ....
