What was with the redheaded puppet and crazy-eyed Mom at the Oklahoma pageant? And the girl who went onstage and did some cartwheels and then tried to sing Mary Had a Little Lamb? Where do they find these freaks?
|
I thought Jaclyn was adorable, but she's going to be a fiesty one when she grows up. At least her parents seemed a little more grounded than the others.

I've seen my share of not-so-cute kids, but why make up your baby girl like a corpse? |
Some of the Mom's should be contestants on Biggest Loser!
Brenna was a piece of work. Where is the Super Nanny when you need her? |
I wonder if any of these people realize that if you spend $5,000 and you win Grand Whatever Supreme and cash prize for that is $2,000--you, um, didn't actually WIN anything.
I'm slightly disturbed by tonight's mom saying "Thesee are good practice for my daughter's future. She's eventually going to be a wife and mom. Pageants are good practice for finding a husband because your husband has needs and he's going to expect you to look like this all the time." WTF? |
A lot of moms use the rationale of "oh I just want her to become more confident/outgoing."
I'm not sure if they realize that there are TONS of activities that help kids to become "more outgoing" that do not involve spray tans/make up/creepiness. Just say what you want to say, which is "she is doing these because I want her to do them." lol. |
