I just finished "An Officer and a Spy" and it was GREAT. Novel-ized story of the Dreyfus Affair. It's by Robert Harris.

I was looking for some easy beach reading and I'm now on the last book of the Divergent series, Allegiant.

Decent, not too deep but a great quick read.

I just finished it, too! I hope we don't have to wait so long for the next one!

So far, I'm a bit disappointed. I haven't read much, though, so I'm hoping my assessment is off-base.

Well, I'd like to report back with my thoughts, but I simply never got into it enough to finish it. I very rarely start a book and not finish it - I feel like a quitter when I do that. But The Casual Vacancy just didn't do anything for me. When I had spare time, I wasn't inclined to read it. When I tried to read it, my mind wandered and I'd find myself reading the same sentence over and over. It just couldn't hold my attention when I was reading it, so I gave up.

So, now, I'm reading The Circle by Dave Eggers. I'm loving this one! I picked it up yesterday and am a third of the way through. It's tough to put down.

I'm reading Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku. I read his other book Physics of the Impossible and loved it. I love astronomy. I actually like it more than I do animals/wild life. :)

And all this time, I thought galaxy M-87 looked like a massive ball of stars with a strange tail emerging from it. It's just that since it emitted large quantities of radiation, at one point I though that weird "tail" thingy represented a stream of antimatter. But, according to Kaku (my other husband :p) it's actually energized by a huge black hole weighing perhaps 3-billion solar masses. And that strange "tail" is now believed to be a very large jet of plasma which is streaming out of, not into, the galaxy.

I love celebrating with champagne because it means something awesome has happened. However, I don't really like the taste and it burns when the bubbles go up my nose. #Kanyeshrug

ETA: Ha! This clearly ended up in the wrong thread. Sorry guys, they have similar titles. :o

I'm about to start "Forever an Ex" by Victoria Christopher Murray. I got an autographed copy last weekend and can't WAIT to dive in. It's a sequel but Soror Murray said you don't need to read the first to understand this one. However, the first (The Ex Files) just got picked up to be a movie so I'll definitely read it.
