*If* this wasn't a setup by ABC (which I still haven't decided yet), then my second theory is that he slept with Molly during the show but picked Melissa. Once they'd slept together, he figured out that Molly was better in the sack and he went back to that. What else could change with chemistry??

ETA: This guy went from the most popular bachelor ever to the most hated man in the US!

Every single thing that Reality Steve said was totally accurate. I am so DONE with this show. Thank you all who posted his web site & predictions. I would have bought into this 3 hours of BS, if it weren't for people here.

Reality Steve isn't working, so here's a synopsis of tomorrow's events, via ONTD, via Reality Steve

Jason's on Jimmy Kimmel tonight (and NKOTB).

Molly was grinning SO much. She's either really happy or was in on it all along.

I think she was in on it. I vaguely recall Reality Steve saying that he was calling / or otherwise in contact with Molly all along.

I don't believe for a second that they didn't sleep together that night in the tent.. Miss "Oh My Gawd! I'm the first person in Bachelor History to make the Walk of Shame!"

and agreed with your ETA!

I'm sooooo over this. Jillian is not going to bring in the viewers if that is what ABC was really wanting to do. They should have just done more work recruiting new people to start fresh. This chain reaction thing is a little bit ridiculous.

I have one word to say about this: unbelievable.

Eh, I disagree. I don't hate him and I'm sure I'm not alone.

ETA: Jimmy Kimmel crowd still clapped and screamed for Jason.

ETA2: LOL -- NKOTB, I'll give them credit for still sounding pretty good, but shots of the crowd cracked me up (all screaming Moms now instead of screaming teens) and they still have the same cheesy, stilted "choreography" as they always did. Joey's aged well, though, cutie. Donnie is still not a pimp, even though he's 40 and still trying to dress like he is.

Definitely had to be a set up. Had it not been, then the other girls would have been at the ATFR tonight, an audience would have been there. Not only did he not have the guts to tell Melissa prior to the show, but to humiliate her in front of a TV audience was totally uncalled for. He should have been a man and told her prior to now what he was feeling. For her to come out all happy and then be dumped by her fiance was about as low as any station can go all for the sake of ratings.

That was terrible. It's one thing to break up with the one he chose and go back to #2 (other bachelors have done it), but it's quite another thing to break off the engagement with her on national TV. If I were him, I never could have done that to someone; he truly sold his soul for fame and money. Melissa deserved more of a real, private discussion and explanation than what she got, and she was very poised while listening to him say his crap. I was so glad to hear her give it to him, even called him a bastard!

Plenty of women in Seattle know where Jason lives...at least the neighborhood. I wonder if his house is going to get TPd or egged or something. I wouldn't be surprised at all...he's going to get raked over the coals here in Seattle.

kddani 03-03-2009 07:38 AM

Molly didn't look surprised at all. Both of them are terrible actors. The only person who was genuine last night was Melissa. I didn't dislike Molly until last night. She didn't even seem concerned about hey- he had just proposed to someone, dumped them on national tv, then switched to her. Duh. Like you're going to be any different. She'll get what's coming to her - he'll dump her in 3 months.

Jason did to Melissa something way worse than what he bitched and moaned about Deanna doing to him. There's a reason he's been single. That's just being fickle and heartless.

NO JOKE! - and the Oscar goes to - Jeremy for his crocodile tears and phony guilt!!

UGGH! I'm so over this show!! I vow that I will not watch this farce anymore. It's one thing to watch the crazy girls and enjoy their weirdness, but it's a whole other thing to watch someone get dumped on TV by some cad that we're supposed to feel sorry for.

If I were Chris, I would have totally called him on the phoniness. And Molly too.

She was gleeful!!

groovypq 03-03-2009 12:11 PM

Words cannot express how disgusting I think that was. Not that this show has the greatest track record, and like someone else said, not that this hasn't happened before - but what they did to Melissa was totally classless. ESPECIALLY if this whole thing was rigged. And both Molly and Jason deserve whatever heartbreak they get. If they DO end up getting married (ha!) and ABC televises their wedding a la Trista and Ryan, I will throw something at them.

Damn you, Graham Bunn! If you hadn't been so hot, I wouldn't have gotten sucked into watching DeAnna's Bachelorette season, and then I wouldn't have gotten sucked into watching this Bachelor season! I loved Melissa from her DCC:MTS days too. Poor girl.

I haven't watched The Bachelor in years, but my mom and sister couldn't stop talking about it this morning. Is there supposed to be another special on tonight?
