It's also proof that the landslide tonight has very little to do with McCain himself, but rather with the electorate as it exists today . . . we'll see how smart we really are, but it's definitely an awesome thing to watch, in the literal definition of "awesome" and not the Bill And Ted definition.

I'm not surprised that this was his best performance. I've been on the record as being disappointed that McCain was the party's choice, and tonight kind of reinforces that. But, as someone who is not a big McCain fan, I was very impressed with his concession speech.
Obama comes into the Presidency with a great deal of momentum, more momentum than any President than Reagan. It's likely that the economy will turn around during the Presidency, and he'll get the credit, regardless of whether he deserves such credit. It will be EXTREMELY interesting to see how the Republican party responds to this. I think this is a crucial time for the party, and historic time, so to speak.
