She did go out classy and Yaya has so many other options besides modeling. I wish her all the best.

I felt like my family members did well when Eva and Yaya made it to the top 2!!! I am proud and exhilarated tonight!!! I feel like we won the presidential election tonight. :o

Two comments...

1) KUDOS to ANTM for not doing a 3 hour finale and for cutting right to the chase at the end without another commercial break!

2) I liked YaYa, and I think that she is totally classy -- but damn I was feeling some "Tootie" when I was watching her on the runway. I was about to LMAO when I realized who she looked like!

Man I almost cried!!!!! Go Eva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I screamed so hard!!! Like I birthed her! The right woman won:D :D :D ! I am so happy!

That struck me as odd because most runway shows the models look drugged or as if they are looking through you.

I felt the same way. I feel so proud of her like she is my own kid. I would have replied sooner, lol, but I was on the phone with 2 of my sistas. :D

Ditto. I smirked at that but figured they needed something to "justify" picking Eva as the winner.

I was a little scared about that first cut. I thought Eva was gone. When she called YaYa first and then Eva, I was like YES!!! After that it didn't really matter who won. I would be happy with either choice.

They both worked that fashion show. I thought the big surprise was that they were going to choose both. YaYa will definitely be seen around. I will be looking for that CoverGirl ad from Eva. This is soooo exciting.

I wonder what was supposed to be the "big surprise".

Some little winch on the radio almost ruined it for me. I have been avoiding spoilers and all that since the show began. This morning, the local morning show asked callers about who they thought would win. Well, A little girl called in and said,

"I'm in high school. but I don't think that Eva is going to win because my friend's sister knows someone that goes to Clark At...." That's when I clicked the radio to another station. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO angry!! :mad: :mad: :mad: I'm thinking, damn, Eva done lost and is back being an ordinary girl. But as the day passed, I thought, even if she is back at Clark already, she has to live normally until the final episode is announced, as not to blow her cover. So I was cool. But I'd be lying if I didn't think that Eva was gonna be cut!!! They just went on and on about Icy Eyes and I was NERVOUS!! But she made it past that. And I know Eva can work a runway, but they just kept talking about how regal YaYa was.

But Eva made it!! I screamed and was overjoyed. She deserved it. Eva Diva did the dayum thang!!!

I had to quote this even with the petroleum jelly comment :p :p

It was when she made that statement that I wanted her to lose

About 2 minutes till Tyra announced the winner...SHE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHAT NPHC SORORITY SHE WANTS TO JOIN announced in the thread title in Chit Chat that EVA had won. Two minutes. She couldn't have waited 3 minutes? Or even 2.5 minutes? Checked today's recent threads and it was there...while the judges were still deliberating.

EVA WON!!!! EVA WON!!! I'm so happy. You know, I was so nervous about the first cut because I thought, "this is upn. Surely, they won't have two African-American girls in the running. Boy was I WRONG!! I had the feeling she was going to win. It's like they like to take troubled girls and turn their lives into good. For example, the first one, Adrianne was a tom-boy who grew up with just her mother. Had been homeless a couple of times and just lived in the grind constantly. On the second one, Yoanna struggled with her weight and being called names and didn't think she was pretty enough. Now EVA!! MY GIRL!! She struggled with being the "black sheep," wasn't always considered the pretty girl. Longed for someone to hold and love her. Even on the show, she struggled to understand her belonging. I'm so happy she won.

Wait, ya'll!! But what about Yaya, still being conceited, talking about "you know, I still feel I should have been the one to be recognized, but I know I will be somewhere." I was like "wow! Get over yourself fast, girl! YOU LOST!! GO HOME!!"

I can't wait to see Eva's face on the cover of magazines. I'm so, so happy!! :D

I was literally jumping for joy on my couch.

As soon as I saw those CG ads I knew Eva HAD IT and if she didn't, those judges were nuts. Camer- whoops I mean YaYa might have won if they were doing L'oreal or some high end line. But she is totally wrong for CG and I think that was a big part of it. I think Eva is more versatile - the mirror images they did when she was in a suit and in a gown were the best of the bunch.

I'll bet Janice was :eek: when Amanda said she wanted the contract so she could pay for her house!!

So excited that Eva won! She definitely deserved it and her personality has grown on me in recent episodes.

Did anyone notice after Eva won they had a shot of Yaya saying "I guess they just wanted someone more bubbly." She was tryna fight this even after it was over! I never really liked her comments. She seems sort of stuck on herself and feels she is the one who deserves this. It's like she couldn't even bare it when she wasn't the winner.

I think we will be seeing a lot of all three of them. Very strikingly beautiful. Although, does anyone feel Yaya's skin may be an issue if she does decide to continue modeling?

I bet Yaya's agency will get her to a dermatologist if she does decided to continue modeling.

You all sound like me. When Eva's picture popped up on that screen..... I screamed and started jumping up and down with Kelyce in my arms. She kept saying "What mudder? Mudder, why are you screaming?" LOL

I wonder if YaYa realizes that her attitude is what cost her the competition. She consistently had better pics, but her attitude was undesirable.
