Again I don't have a probem defending anything that I have said or done. I guess that someone has to be the target, so pm me with your issues. I think that of the views I am expressing hit a little to close to home for some folks on here...

I also recoginize this is a place for women to talk about any kind of issues greek or non-greek. But I think it is a little bit too far fetched if you expect people to come on here and not discuss what the name of this website is "Greek Chat". Maybe I am the minority in this...

Intriguing. **shrug**

Welcome to all other Sisterfriends. Happy chatting.

My theory is an earlier post in this thread was written by a high school senior proclaiming, "I want to be Delta," yet the poster turned around and became an AKA at Fisk University. Citrine1 read it, quoted the post in a roundabout way that includes the signature letting us know that she is now an AKA and then laughed.

Proof positive that most people need to breathe easy when proclaiming their "interest." :D

I get it now too. That is some funny ish.

Citrine1 01-26-2007 05:30 PM

Sorry about the confusion.

:)

Sorry for the confusion, Sorors. LOL. Yes it gave me a little chuckle. And yes I do think it goes to show, people shouldn't proclaim their interest until they are certain. But then again, lots of people are "certain" several times. :D

I read over all of her 9 posts and she never posted in DST again, lol. And claimed her 2nd post was really her first. It's all so interesting to me. :) :p By now she should be a college senior.

Question: her last post was in 2003 and she was initiated in 2005. She must have come on then to edit her siggy, yet she doesn't show up in the new AKAs thread. If she changed her screen name would her siggy still show up under the old screen name?

Wonder what happened in a two month span that made her switch from DST to AKA?

I, too, wonder about the "this is my first time ever posting..." And I see she went to Fisk instead of T-State (or maybe she transferred to pledge AKA.) I wonder if she is really an AKA?

Soror, I hadn't read her other posts until after CT4 mentioned that "first" post. I agree that it is extremely suspect. Of course, me being Inspector Gadget and all, I went to Fisk's website to see what I could see but they haven't updated it since 2001. Sooooooooo...anything's possible. I do find it strange that a person would come back to change their siggy and that's all.

Which university did you graduate from?

I want to make sure that I don't recommend it to anyone. I would hate to see someone else graduate with the poor grammar skills that you are exhibiting.

nyc_girl88 02-06-2007 07:05 PM

Hi everyone, I'm not new to GC but this is my first time posting in a while. I know discretion is key with going greek, but i guess it's pretty obvious which sorority I am interested in from posting in this thread. From alot of research I have found great interest in this sorority, I know which chapter I would join and now I want to get to know some of the women who are a part of this wonderful sorority so i can gain some insight from them.
Again hello everyone!!!

treblk 02-06-2007 08:19 PM

nyc_girl88 02-06-2007 10:16 PM

looking at the subject line I thought this thread was for sisterfriends. I defintely dont want to step on any toes in my research and getting to know Deltas, if you think a different thread would be better suited for me please let me know.:)
