I would like to point out that if they snuck in one or two people would probably click on the thread, if just by accident. With this INSANE number, you are forced to carefully consider clicking on any thread. And thus none get clicked.

I'm sure this is somewhere upthread, but does reporting these links really help that much? I've been reporting spam when I see it lately, but that 60-second delay is pretty annoying.

If the mods like the help in reporting the spam threads, then may I suggest removing the 60 second limit? I have stopped reporting the spam threads because of it. It is a huge deterrent.

It's been a morning of report, read post, report, make coffee, report, report, report.

It's been a while since I last visited GC. Thought I'd stop by this morning to see if things have improved with the whole spam thing. They haven't. I can only assume John no longer cares. Oh, well.

Maybe I'll check back in in another month or so...

GC has turned boring and lame with or without the spam. I can only assume that nobody cares since nobody is posting.

Eh, I come to GC primarily for recruitment and expansion news. It's kind of the in-between season for both of those.

I don't get it, When I signed up I had to first post in a specific thread to prove I'm not a bot. Perhaps just changing the sign up procedure might help??

Yes, I have school, work, plus an internship (and a Mr. Ninjapoodle) for the fall. I just won't have the time plus, I'm tired of doing this.

Is this procedure not in place anymore? I still see the thread but the spammers seem to be able to create threads without posting there first. In the many years I've been a member this is the WORST I've ever seen in regards to the spam.
