I started playing this because apparently I needed another way to waste a lot of time.

Anyway, I'm guilty of attacking the same person even if I'm not getting money because I want to move up levels, and I'm still getting the points that let me do that, influence maybe? Is that bad? What am I supposed to be doing if not moving up levels? I'm totally serious. What's the point of the game? I love cartoon yachts as much as the next person, but maybe I don't get what I'm supposed to be doing.

It also never occurred to me to take being attacked personally, and I don't even pay attention to who is attacking me. I figure when I show up with my crazy low house size, I'd attack me too.

I just started playing, and I don't get it. You get 1 brownie point per level, but you have to buy stuff to get more? And what do the levels get you? There's no winner, or anything.

And yes, I also keep attacking the same person even if I don't get money from them (but only if they get me 6 or 7 influence points). Because otherwise, I'll attack them for very few influence points, no money, and then have to make 5 trips to the spa, wasting $4,000 each time I do so.

And how do you even know if someone attacked you?! I just don't keep track... or care.

To be honest, my favorite part of the whole thing is the game under "Socialize" where you get to search for items like 'Where's Waldo'.

Yeah, I like the little games within the game. I wonder if you get more of them when you more up levels. I haven't noticed that, though.

When I logged in this morning I saw a bunch of messages about how today is Crazy Outfit Day. And I am loving it! I have seen some of the ugliest combinations! I would post a link to my own page, but FB is down for me right now. So, I'm in the really tall, ugly italian lace boots, the thanksgiving costume, bunny ears, and heart sunglasses. Blech! ;)

Rho Lambda Gamma is a cute idea! I was only in a house for a day, before I left it because they wanted me to bully people without being able to ask why. Oh, and Wincha isn't a house, she's a player who everyone loves to hate.

You do! You get another "Bejeweled" game and two more (so far that I've gotten--and I'm level 52) of the photo hunt games. One of them costs Brownie Points, though. :rolleyes:

ETA: I had saved up nearly $4,000,000 towards the purchase of the Private Yacht and then I reached level 50, where I qualified for a new job, but the training cost for that was 2.5 million! I had to take it (I couldn't make myself not), and now I'm back below a million dollars (people kept stealing my money while I was trying to train for the new job). Sigh.

I figured out a quasi-clever way to make friends...every time my feed tells me someone has attacked me, I go to that person's page and click "Vote" for them. Then when FB tells me I've sent that person a notification, I click on their name, and send them a friend request. Usually they accept, especially if they don't have that many people in their house! :)

Exactly. Again, as I was playing this the other day, I wondered what the point of it is. The only way you get anything significant is by having brownie points, and it takes days for me to even get a couple of those. So yes, I will stick to playing the entertaining games. :)

I think I find it more appealing because you're actually doing something... not just clicking a button to "socialize" or "fight" or buy stuff over and over.

I just got BL'd for the first time in ages. It's a little flattering someone feels the need to spend $1mil to burn me, just because I attacked them once (I think just once). ;) Not so much fun losing the influence points, but then I did just level up, so I've got hundreds to go.

I like FarmTown much better now that I can hire someone to plow for me. That part was a little tedious/boring. I'm trying to level up and buy land, and save all my $$ until I have the biggest farm. Then I'm going to start buying some buildings and other things. The nice side effect of playing SL and another app (castle age) is that I have TONS of random people as FB friends, and I get about 20 FT gifts a day at least.

i've had a big swirl, 4x4 checkerboard-like squares, and now i just have alternating plots, i was trying to make diagonals, but it didn't work out right

I asked the SL app developer this question, she had no clue, and said ask the people playing the game. What an idjit! The question is; when I get a notification that someone voted for me, I click on it and it takes me to SL. Then it says "congratulations you have claimed your prize. Vote for all your sisters." Well the only problem w/ that is, the list it gives is NOT all my sisters in my house, and includes people who aren't even playing SL. How do I get my real sisters on and the ones who aren't playing off?

I think if you've deleted SL house members from your facebook account, the "vote for all" doesn't vote for them

Do you know if they actually got a notification, or did it just list them? I was under the impression that some people's names would be included on the list, but that they wouldn't actually get a notification that they received a vote. I freely admit I could be mistaken, as I've never asked one of my non-SL friends who showed up on the list to confirm or deny.

The Kappa Gamma story mentioned on another thread reminded me of something I found online recently and wondered if (a) it has anything to do with Sorority Life, which I know nothing about and don't want to, and (b) are there other sororities to whom this has happened? The thing is that there's a Myspace page for some group called Kappa Delta Sweethearts, and they're even using a slightly altered version of the real KD creed. Ugh, the place is so freaking trashy, but I wonder if our national has any recourse.

There are a lot of SL sororities that have names of actual NPCs.....Zeta Tau Alpha, Delta Gamma, Sigma Delta Tau, and there are more.

The thing that's annoying me (I'm level 30) is people who are level 19 or something attacking me, winning, and I'm not allowed to attack them back - "pick on someone your own size!" Excuse me but the bitch hit me first. WTF??

lol This game cracks me up! This girl made me depressed twice in a row...which is apparently not hard, I get depressed all the time :( and she writes WTF IS WITH YOU BURN LISTING ME! I DIDNT EVEN ATTACK YOU (mind you she most definitely did...like 12 times!)

My favorite part is the person who took care of her was named "Sexy Bounter Hunter". You should see her picture...

What does it tell you about my experience with this game that I've never seen that message. I apparently don't pay enough attention to who is attacking me because I assume that they simply said, "Oh only 9 sisters, click" the same way I would. You're just a number to me, so yes, I will keep attacking you and getting points until one of us goes the spa.
