I probably should focus more on architecture but its like whenever I go to school and stuff all me and my friends ever talk about are Frats and what we want to pledge. But yeah, I know its going to be tough to do them both and right now I don't really know if I will be able to pull it off, but I know that when I get to college, regardless of how much I want to pledge Kappa, I'm going to be mainly focused on Architecture and being in that studio doing my work cause in the end that's the part that really matters the most.

Looks like you've got it together.

ETA: And other general info, like when it was founded, where, why it was changed from KANu to KAPsi, stuff like that

Sorry fellas...been out of town for a few days, but let me just say to the young, aspiring, gentleman, I really think you should take your time and work your way up to the "process" of becoming greek. You are seriously putting the cart before the horse with learning information.

The important thing is to make yourself eligible by having a firm g.p.a., and also allowing the BRUHS to know who you are without drawing unnecessary attention to yourself. Let them see that you are the young man who is active on campus, has a better than average g.p.a., and are willing to work for this organization.

THEN, if you are chosen, you will have ample time to learn information. But good luck in your endeavors; you seem like you are well on your way.

Well said Phi. I was trying to tell him to concentrate on his studies, but he's all about Kappa....LOL

ETA: JKenny, I'm not teasing you, but you said you read about Kappa as much as you do about architecture. To me, that's backwards, man. It should be the other way around.

^^^I feel yah on dat KV, I try not to count my eggs before they hatch, lol my AP Lit teacher says never use cliches haha, well anyway I try not to be so sure of myself, however, my confidence in the things I do often cause me to end up in situations like that. I understand you completely though, PB has made me realize that Kappa will always be here

@PB: Yeah yeah, I know I talk about Kappa a lot on the forums and stuff, but its Greek Chat...I mean, I know that I'm coming off like all I do is read about Kappa but most of the stuff that I know about it I learned within the few days when I first heard about it. I have a knack for memorizing stuff, Soliliquies, Quotes, Poems, Random Lines out of books that I like, Dates, Names, just about anything that I find interesting I can recall in it conversation....and based on the topic that's what brings it out.

My reputation on this forum unfortunately misrepresents me and I'll be trying to changing it, I know I talk a lot about Kappa and wanting to pledge and stuff, I'll stop sayin so much about it and just hold some general conversation from now on

You're right, it is greekchat, but you're not greek. Don't change the man that you are for folks on greekchat. If they like your reputation, cool. If they don't, cool. Who cares? Just know at the same time I wouldn't continue to talk about Kappa if I were you. I think it's great that you want to pledge, but wait until that time comes, if it comes. I agree, holding general conversations sounds better. Just so you know, you're always welcome to hold those general conversations here. I'll be more than happy to chat with you (not about Kappa).

Good luck man.:)

^^^JK, I agree with PB. I mean, you seem like a cool young man, and TRUST, I usually do not carry on extensive conversations with forward aspirants. However, you seem sincere in your desires and at the same time young, and hopeful, but as you will learn, discretion is the KEY to Greek life. People will chat with you because you seem cool, not because you desire to be Greek. Just do you, and you'll be aight.

OK Bruhs....I'm finally back in action. GC has been giving me log in issues for the last month. I think the tech guy finally got it fixed.

I appreciated that KV, and PB, as well, its guys like you that will help keep me on the right track in achieving whatever I desire, and yeah, I'll try not to mention Kappa, cause like PB said I'm not Greek its not actually my place.

Furthermore, I'd just like to say thanks, I've only been on here i dont know 2 weeks at the most and already I feel like there are people out there who want to see you succeed, I mean I dont even know you guys really, I know me and KV are basically from the Delta in a way, but yea its cool to meet people that you can chat with in a positive way even though you barely know them, too often on forums do I see people just going at it, to its nice to know that there are people who are actually cool to talk to. You guys really bring the following quote to life for me.

All that I have seen has taught me to trust Him for all I have not seen--Emerson

I was mad too, so I felt your frustration.

I like helping folks as much as I can, and I appreciate the folks who have and are helping me. To see a young man such as yourself succeed is what it's all about. When you finish undergrad, you'll have enough knowledge to fulfill your dream of becoming a good architect. Remember though, knowledge alone is not power. I know a lot of smart people who are penniless (mainly because of the economy). It's knowledge plus action that equals power. I'm not sure if you read your Bible or how often you read it, but if you get a chance read the book of Timothy. There's a verse in 1 Timothy 5:8 that says "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."

As far as folks going at it on here, just skip over their posts dude. I do it all the time. Some folks on here like starting mess by putting others down. Just ignore the jelly backs and pick out the folks on here that you enjoy chatting with. That's real easy to do, while at the same time ignoring the idiots.

My sands and I are flying down to the Klave this August. We all met for dinner last night for our anniversary (except kl1ub and the tail) and made our plans. One of my sands already made reservations. Are you all still going? If you are, I would make reservations now.
