I think Oklahoma will move to #1.
AGDee, I agree with you. I thought Wisconsin had it in the bag. I couldn't believe the UGA/Bama game. That was after I watched UofM/Wisconsin and OleMiss/Florida. What a day for games! That is what I love about college football. "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings". |
1. OU
2. Bama 3. LSU 4. Mizzou 5. Penn State IMO at least. |

But these rankings effing reek, stink, and more.... I can't believe I was so right about what would happen between UGA and USC. AP Top 25 1. Oklahoma (43) 4-0 1,599 2. Alabama (21) 5-0 1,565 3. LSU 4-0 1,466 4. Missouri (1) 4-0 1,453 5. Texas 4-0 1,362 6. Penn State 5-0 1,252 7. Texas Tech 4-0 1,105 8. Brigham Young 4-0 1,098 9. USC 2-1 1,08710. South Florida 5-0 1,03511. Virginia Tech 4-1 290 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankingsindex |
Hmmm...makes no sense. Where is Ole Miss? I thought LSU would be #2
|
Damn... I knew what would happen with overrated USC, and this always happens to UGA
1. Oklahoma
2. Alabama 3. LSU 4. Missouri 5. Texas 6. Penn State 7. Texas Tech 8. BYU 9. USC 10. USF 11. UGA ...and I'll stop there http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankingsindex |

However, Ole Miss has a lot more games to win before they even enter the Top 25. They've done well this season, but they've got far to go in the SEC. Bama played a very impressive game against UGA. I'm surprised they outranked LSU but not disappointed or infuriated. I can live with #2 for Bama if they haven't trailed any opponents at all this season. Not. EVER in '08. |

Dang...I was close! I guess people got over the Saban thing...as much as I hate him, Bama really looked good Saturday night!

Georgia and Florida are still in it if they can win out. Winning out would put them at one loss with wins over the other, LSU, a Vandy team who looks surprisingly good this year and the SEC West Champ (Bama?). That should be enough to jump them back over USC (who doesn't play another ranked team), and even an undefeated USF or BYU. All the Big XII teams ahead of those 2 will take care of each other and leave at most one undefeated team. If one of UGA or UF can finish this season with only yesterday's loss, the only way they don't go to the championship game is if there is an undefeated Big XII team AND an undefeated Big 10 team. I don't see that happening (no offense Penn State fans).

;) Actually, I'll be the first to say we're just getting in to the thick of the season schedule, so I'm not getting too big in our blue and white britches just yet. I am glad that Michigan is AT Penn State but then we play AT Ohio State. Ugh. (no offense, Benz ;)) And KSigkid, my husband's a Husky and he's so happy they're 5-0, he keeps trying to tell me they're "just like Penn State now". Aww. :p Yeah, but no. |
