Soror OOhsoflyDELTA#9
I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. Your entire family has my prayers.
|
Thank you...
My family laid to rest my cousin, Denita Monique Smith yesterday...I want to thank everyone who offered their prayers and condolences during this very difficult time...for those of you who are not in the NC area, a woman has been charged with her death, so hopefully my family will have some type of closure soon...I didn't even mention this in my first post, but Denita was a newly initiated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha...she crossed on December 3, 2006...AKA was something she really wanted (in spite of my ribbing) and I'm thankful she got it..there were at least a couple thousand people at her service and person after person spoke of her kindness and big smile...her list of acomplishments academically and in the community are too numerous to mention...she was an all around good person who touched alot of lives and who will be greatly missed...

Oohsoflydelta - Please know that so many people are praying for you and your family right now. I hope that you find comfort in that fact. I can only imagine how much more difficult this is because of the nature of the crime. However, keep the scripture in mind "Lean not into thy own understanding." My prayer is that you will find peace in He whom provides comfort.

***UPDATE***
Alpha Kappa Alpha's 26th National President, Soror Linda Marie White , underwent successful heart and kidney transplant surgery and is resting in the Cardiac ICU at the University of Chicago-Bernard Mitchell Hospital, 5841 South Maryland Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637. She will be in ICU for several days and unavailable for calls and visits. Your prayers are needed for her continued recovery. __._,_.___ |

Wow soror. Know that God is perfect in all things, it doesn't make it easier but it somehow makes it better. Prayers for Ms. White as well |
Praying for all
I will keep you all in my prayers and ask God to give you peace and strength during these times.
While my prayer request does not compare to yours, I'd like everyone to send up a prayer for me on my job search. |
Although my prayer request is not dealing with the loss of a loved one, I have an interview with a major corporation's legal department as a senior attorney. I REALLY want this position and am claiming it as my own. I just ask for your prayers that the Lord see fit to bless me with this opportunity. Of course, if it is not His will, I know He has a greater blessing coming my way.
Thanks in advance. My prayers are will all who have lost a loved one . .may God keep you and your families in His comfort and care. |

Wow, that is a very big deal. You claimed it. It's yours. Good Luck!!! I will be praying for you. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has lost a loved one. Remember that God is in control. |

LitAKAtor - Since you have claimed victory over that position, it is yours. GOD granted us dominion over the entire world and everything in it, so, claim ownership of that position. GOD knows your heart, and He knows if it will be a grand fit for you. If this is deemed the case by Him, you might as well go out and get that celebratory bottle of Dom... Peace, the7th |

Please pray for a family friend, Roy. He was recently diagnosed with cancer. When the doctors went in to remove it, they discovered that it spread and there is nothing that they can do. If they removed it during the operation, he would have died on the table, so they left it alone.
|
I will be praying for your friend. Be sure to tell him to hold on and trust God. HE is always in control. God Bless.

Prayers and support...

We are stretching out our hands in love, support and prayer for Roy. Roy needs to be reminded that, The Grand Physician may not be calling him home just yet, and that the 'good fight' is in order. We are asking that GOD place His eternally protective and girding arms around Roy, granting him providence. These earthly doctors may not have been able to take it out, but truly, Dr. GOD can. 7th |
