Faith Evans, Husband Face Drug Charges

HAPEVILLE, Ga. - R&B singer Faith Evans (news) and her husband, record executive Todd Russaw, were arrested on drug possession charges.


Evans and Russaw were charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana and booked at the Fulton County Jail, WSB-TV reported Wednesday. A spokeswoman at the Hapeville Police Department would give no details Wednesday morning.


Evans, 30, earned a Grammy nomination for her duet "Can't Believe" with Carl Thomas (news), recorded on her 2001 album, "Faithfully." She recently appeared in "The Fighting Temptations," a movie starring Cuba Gooding (news) Jr. and Beyonce Knowles (news).


Evans also has worked with Whitney Houston (news) and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, who signed Evans to his Bad Boy label and produced her first album.


In 1995, Evans married Christopher Wallace, known as The Notorious B.I.G. Wallace was killed in a drive-by shooting in March 1997.


Evans, a native of Newark, N.J., recently moved to the Atlanta area.

Sounds like it wasn't just Beyoncé and Pink not getting along at the lavish Pepsi premiere on Monday night: reports in today's papers suggest Britney and Beyoncé had a huge row, too. The three singers star as sexy gladiators in Pepsi's new drinks promo, but despite insisting they all get along, the London premiere revealed some serious strains in the relationship. First Pink objected to Beyoncé wearing a fur coat and then later, as the stars sat down for dinner at Nobu restaurant, Britney fell out with her as well.

Thanks for clearing that up, because I get them all confused, except for Bonnie. Why not just have Bonnie come back to the group, it's not like she is doing a whole hell of a lot right about now. I didn't know that June's daughter was by Dennis Edwards. I was surprised at that when I heard it on the radio yesteray. Man, back in the day, these singers were straight up bed hopping with each other.

:eek: Wow!! I just heard the other day while listening to Wendy Williams that she was spotted in the Garden State Plaza (a local mall) looking fabulous in a purple fur with matching purple boots and she was with a producer by the name of Seven Aurelius (sp) who resembles Prince and does a lot of work for Murder, Inc. Their pairing was questionable because Wendy had "assumed" that she may have been dipping out on her husband...unless she was just picking up the st'hash for him:confused:

Erving's Wife Denies Releasing Sex Tape

ORLANDO, Fla. - A tape showing NBA Hall of Famer Julius Erving having sex with a woman in a hotel room "didn't come out of our camp," Andrea Black, lawyer for Erving's wife, Turquoise, said Wednesday.




The tape was delivered to the New York Post while Erving divorces Turquoise, his wife of 31 years. It shows Erving having sex with a young woman in a hotel room while a radio plays, the newspaper said.


The divorce case is going on in Florida.


Erving's spokesman, Dan Klores, said Monday the tape was made 15 years ago, while Erving and his wife were separated.


"The decision by his wife's advisers to release it during their divorce negotiations is disappointing, especially since Mrs. Erving has had it in her possession for all these years," said Klores.


"I can assure you it didn't come out of our camp," Black said Wednesday.


But she added that in a hotly disputed divorce, it isn't uncommon for friends and family surrounding the couple to get involved in various ways — and that might be why the tape was sent to the newspaper.


"Frankly, it doesn't help anyone," said Black, noting that Florida has no-fault divorce laws. "To me, all it does is create a furor over something in which the emotions are going to be high again."


"I'm not stressed about it," Erving said before the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association's 100th annual banquet, where he was an honored guest Monday night. "The media is always going to be a part of my life as long as I'm breathing and even after I'm gone."




Maybe it was his babymomma, the news reporter. :confused:

Stella Foster reported in her column yesterday, that R. was in court here on Monday asking a judge for permission to attend the Grammys. The judge said yes with the following restriction: No contact at all with Michael Jackson! Is that really necessary? Do you rhink they may try to do something stupid together?
