One's from a poetry anthology called The Black Poets, which is edited by Dudley Randall (get it...it's short and shows off many of the achievements in the black literary world)...the other is from a book by Shiela Copeland (I think called Chocolate Star) Alright plot, but I like the quote more. ;)
