My high school had a vo-tech where kids learned about culinary arts. We also had a business track where our students could take "business" math and learn how to balance a checkbook. That may be right up your alley!

That's definitely an option I didn't really think of! I think there are high schools too that focus on particularly on hospitality in bigger cities and stuff.
I might end up looking into that. for now I am back to being okay with my career choice. we'll see how long it lasts! lol

I'd like to own my own pub one day.

I've always wanted to be a Rockette. Unfortunately, I grew up to be taller than 5' 10'' 1/2 height maximum. :( Guess I'll have to settle for coaching high school poms instead.

Actually, I really love teaching and coaching. At this point in my life, I'm not sure what else I'd do.

I always wanted to do something art-related. I'm a graphic designer now, but it's not as glamorous as I had thought it would be. I'd like to run a fashion magazine. Or be a cowgirl.

KKGCaroline 12-01-2010 05:17 AM

I always wanted to be either a Travel Photographer, a Movie Director, or a Video Games Tester.

I could have sworn I posted in this already.

My dream job is to play Ariel in The Little Mermaid on Ice. :o

groovypq 12-10-2010 11:24 AM

Full-time coach.

Although I like the "social media expert" idea.

I also wish I could come up with a good idea for a novel...

I wanted to be a high school math teacher...but after observing the classes at local highschool... NO THANKS.

Now I'm teaching part-time at local community college. This is my dream job.

SSSOOOOOOOOOO you wanted to be a math teacher, or should we say you dreamed of being a math teacher, but then i guess you woke up and reliezed that your not that smart so you have to teach part-time. Thats as much as your squirrelly little brain can take, and you choose a community college. That is not your dream job !! I tell you what go back to sleep and dream bigger...

Nice try.

Just another person that has inferiority complex. GTFO if you are not gonna contribute.

Come up with something better next time and learn how to spell.

I have always wanted to be on Saturday Night Live. I think that would be the most awesome job ever, although I wanted to be a Rockette when I was younger, as well.

What's ironic about that post is that he doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're" yet, he has the audacity to call you out and claim you are the stupid one. Hahahaha, irony makes my day. Good for you! In fact, one of my dreams is to one day teach at a university (whether it be community college or not). I think that is great that you are doing what you love!

Thank you for the comment. I find it funny that many people say "If you can't do, you teach." I'm currently teaching math 104 at my school and it is really hard to have every student understand the material. Everyone learns differently and it is up to us teachers to TRY teach in a way that HOPEFULLY will cater to everyone.

The lower level the class, the harder to teach because they don't have a solid background. Heck, I have some students that have a hard time adding and subtracting....

My job is not just about teaching them how to add or subtract, but to teach them how to problem-solve, how to read between the lines when given information to be sorted out. When you're at a job, your boss is not going to say "calculate this". The man is going to say "here's a bunch of stuff, give me an analysis of the overall status".

I give props to all teachers that work diligently to help their students.

Sorry for the long ass post.
