None of my close friends from hs went greek but from my class (approx 350)
1 Sigma Gamma Rho (me) 1 Omega Psi Phi 1 Alpha Kappa Alpha |
I had a friend go SAE at USF and he's the only one I'm 100% positive on. I think one girl joined AKA at UMiami, but I'm not completely sure. And then I'm Kappa, obviously. =]
Not many people from my high school went to universities, so going Greek wasn't a big thing. |
I was in show choir and people figured most of us would end up going greek. From what I remember:
Chi O 1(UCLA) ADPi 1(UCLA) Alpha Phi 3 (CSUN)(UCI)(Cal Berkeley) Gamma Phi Beta 1 (Cal Poly) Tri Delta 3 (Millikin)(CSUN)(Cal Berkeley) AXiD 2(CSUN) Kappa 1(UCI) DZ 2 (Me CSUN :])(CSULB) KD 2 (UCLA)(SJSU) Sig Ep 2(CSUN) AOPi 3(Cal Poly x2)(CSUN) Theta 1(Cal Poly) |
I couldn't even start to name
I graduated in a class of 214, I say 150 went to 4 year colleges and at least 100 are members of BGLOS, GLOS, MGLOS, Music Related, Service Related...many hold dual membership, in addition to being masons and eastern stars. Off the top of my head: We rep: AKA DST Zeta SGRho KAPsi Q Psi Phi QTPi U Phi U Phi Mu Tri Delta ZTA APO KKPsi TBS SAI PMA Chi O A Chi O Alpha Phi And on and on. We plan to a rep your GLO period at our 10 year class reunion next year |
Of my close circle, only one other is greek.
She is a Delta, and she crossed alumnae a few months after me. |
Through facebook I found someone I went to high school is a Delta Gamma (Lafayette) and someone is in a local (Delta Delta) at SUNY Buffalo.

None of my close friends went Greek. Out of my 800+ graduating class, I know there is a Phi Mu, a Gamma Phi Beta, numerous Alpha Xi Deltas, one ChiO, a few Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonias, a Kappa Kappa Psi, two Sigma Alpha Epsilons, an Alpha Sigma Phi, and an Alpha Epsilon Phi.
Interestingly enough, more and more people from my high school seem to go Greek each year. The class after mine had a lot more, and almost all of my brother's friends, including himself went Greek out of the class of 2008. |

Out of my "core" group of friends: 1 Pi Kappa Phi (Texas A&M) 1 ZTA (UTEP) 2 Alpha Kappa Psi (UT, UT-San Antonio) Other people that I was friends/acquiantances with (not necessarily just from HS): 2 local--Sigma Psi Eta (UTEP) 1 DG (Texas Tech) 1 Pi Phi (that i mentioned above--Texas Tech) 1 Kappa Sigma (NMSU) 1 Delta Chi (ASU, i think) 1 Phi Beta Kappa (UT) 1 SAE (Denver University) 1 Pike (UT) 1 Sigma Chi (Oklahoma State) 3 Alpha Xi Delta (UTEP, NMSU) I think there are others, but I can't remember at the moment |
It wasn't real popular at my high school:
3 DGs 1 Pi Phi 1 Tri Delt 1 Teke 1 Alpha Phi Delta 1 Triangle |
No, while some went to different schools, none pledged.

Almost everyone I from my highschool went to a community college or an anti-greek school or really strict Christian schools that have "social clubs" with Greek letters which are a whole lot different from standard Greek life (NPC/IFC). I hate going to homecoming and trying to explain to old classmates that my sorority is nothing like their social clubs! I went ZTA and a girl a grade below me went ZTA too, and a guy 2 years above me went LXA. I'm pretty sure those are all the Greeks from my high school from when I was there.

Hm. That I know of off the top of my head ... other than myself and my husband (Delta Sigma Theta & Phi Kappa Sigma), there are:
1 AOPi 1 ADPi 2 KDs 1 Phi Mu 1 DZ 1 Theta Chi 1 SigEp 1 Phi Kappa Tau 1 KKPsi 1 AKPsi |
From my graduating class, I only know of one who joined a sorority. She joined a local at her school.
From the class after mine, the valedictorian is an Alpha Phi Omega brother as well. |
Only one of my group of eight girls went Greek, my best friend is a Pi Phi.
|
None of the girls I hung out with went greek, but two girls that went to my high school became Alpha Xi Deltas like me! Who would've thought that I'm now sisters with girls I never talked to three years ago?!
