One of the other girls in my training class at work is a KD.

nolesaw 10-24-2004 09:36 AM

We have a bunch of greeks at the school where I work ...

Alpha Gam
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Pi Phi
Delta Zeta
Delta Sigma Theta
Alpha Chi
Phi Mu
Tau Beta Sigma

2 Sig Ep
TKE
SAE

I am sure there are more lurking out there!

We used to have another Alpha Gam, DG, Tri Delt, another Sig ep.....

we thought about having a "GLO" day...but we never did!

Update:

We lost the speech pathologist, but I found out another teacher is an AKA. We also gained a Delta special ed teacher!

ShaedyKD 10-24-2004 03:30 PM

At the law firm, we currently have a Greek popluation of:
4 KDs (One partner!)
1 ADP
1 LCA
1 DSP

We also used to work with 2 AOPs and a BQP, but they all went to work somewhere else :( We miss them!

At my old job, we had about 5 DDDs working there at one point, then the KDs started taking over. ;) At one point, I think I had 6 sisters working there with me! (I was the first though, and got them all jobs! Another positive aspect of Greek Life - networking!)

I forgot about this thread!

I have since found a new job :D (still at my alma mater) and the Greek population is small now:

1 Gamma Sig (that would be me)
3 Kappas (KAPsi)
1 Alpha Phi Alpha
1 AKA (she's a PhD student)

There are probably more lurking around here but my department is huge!

KSigkid 10-25-2004 09:41 AM

One of my old bosses is an AEPhi. That's about it.

_Lisa_ 10-25-2004 09:52 AM

I know that there are many Greeks in my work place but I haven't really taken the time to find out who belongs where! The only person that I know of for sure is a Delta Sigma Theta! And I only know because she wanted me to bring back an elephant from India because that is their mascot!

OleMissGlitter 10-25-2004 10:49 AM

Update to mine, be/c I'm pretty sure I did this one before...

Director (he's new)-- Phi Delta Theta

(FYI--The Chancellor of Ole Miss and the Dean of Students and my boss are all Phi Delta Theta Alumni from Ole Miss)

Everyone else:

Alpha Kappa Alpha
Phi Kappa Psi
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Pi Kappa Alpha
Sigma Phi Epsilon
Beta Theta Pi
Alpha Omicron Pi
Delta Kappa Epsilon

AEPhiSierra 10-26-2004 03:39 PM

Just started my new job and already discovered a co-worker who is an SAE!

queequek 10-26-2004 06:10 PM

Not so much at my place (considering there are 150+ employees). I work for an architecture firm, so that is my excuse (since not so many architects are Greek, we *supposedly* don't have time for anything else outside studio.

- Lambda Chi Alpha (Clemson) --> he was an IFC president back in 2002, I believe
- Pi Kappa Phi (Clemson), one of the founding fathers
- Pi Kappa Phi (Clemson), just another Pi Kapps
- Alpha Chi Omega (GA Tech)
- Phi Mu (not sure the college she went to)
- Chi Omega (Clemson)

ladyj39 10-26-2004 06:33 PM

My supervisor is a Delta Gamma from UC Santa Barbara.

It was extremely nice to have an understanding supervisor the days I had to leave a little early to help out with recruitment! :)

blueGBI 10-26-2004 06:33 PM

Updated:

2 APOs
3 DKES
4 AXPs
1 DU
1 Beta
1 SAI
about 10 vehement GDIs :(

bluefish81 10-26-2004 10:22 PM

At my old job, my mgr was a Chi Omega, one of my peers was a Sigma Kappa (both from Iowa State) and there was (for a brief time another Theta (from Drake).

At my current job, I was trained by a Phi Psi, my roommate is also a Theta and there used to be an Alpha Chi Omega in our dept (she recently left). All of them are from Iowa State. We used to make up half of our dept of 8 underwriters. There's also a Kappa from Drake in our Claims department.

IowaStatePhiPsi 10-26-2004 10:26 PM

There's a Kappa and a Theta in the Starbucks, a tri-delt or 2 in the bakery, I'm the only active member of a GLO in the deli (my coworker and roommate is an initiated Alpha Phi Omega, but he never did anything beyond their pledge program)
and there are a few ATOs spread out in the store, or used to be. I really dont keep an eye on who's greek anymore.

CrimsonTide4 11-11-2004 08:07 PM
