What they need to do is tear up the white neighborhoods. Every time we riot, we tear up our own shit. Tear up the white folks neighborhoods.

Do you think, even assuming for the sake of argument that he was completely justified in the shooting, tha the'd be safe policing that town if no true bill happens?

1. That issue has been raised and suggested by the various groups.

2. Tearing up "white folks neighborhoods" might feel emotionally satisfying to you, but it's not going to get the movement anywhere. There's a lot of sympathy locally, even from traditionally conservative folks, towards the idea that Ferguson and working class black neighborhoods are over-policed and over-charged and over-fined in St. Louis. I think there is probably broad agreement that this is true. I think that there is agreement that something should be done to change that. I think that if the protest movement focuses on that issue, change is achievable here. If there is rioting, especially rioting that targets "white neighborhoods" that support is going to turn around and go the other way.

I think some people just like to riot so the looting can start.

1. That's not how grand juries work.
2. "Tearing up" the neighborhoods of people not directly has no purpose other than to injure, frighten, and possibly cause death to innocent people. What possible benefit in your twisted mind could come from that?
3. You're stupid :).
4. Wilsons career in the St. Louis region is done regardless of outcome but he's right in the sense that resigning before the GJ announcement would be seen as an admission of wrongdoings.

I saw this article today but haven't heard anything about it in the MSM. Anyone know if it's legit or not? Regardless, people would be best to stay home if this kind of stuff is in the works.

I think I've recommended him before but follow Alderman French on Twitter; when he starts tweeting about what's going on up there daily and nightly, that's when to pay attention:

ETA: And yes, things are tense up there this evening.

ETA2: And they just arrested a journalist from News2Share.

No decision or announcement this weekend. The Grand Jury will reconvene on Monday. They may hear more evidence on Monday.

dukemama 11-24-2014 03:01 PM

CNN is now reporting that the decision will be handed down at some point later today.

Nanners52674 11-24-2014 03:59 PM

I think it's going to be ugly no matter the verdict. The tension is so high. It's like we've loaded the horses into the gate and haven't let them go for weeks. Now we're going to release them and it's going to be crazy because their's so much pent up emotion.

I'll be keeping Ferguson in my thoughts and prayers hoping for justice and a peaceful response.

Haven't the prosecutors been promising to make the transcripts available to the public? If there's no true bill, that should be interesting.

McCullough said that the judge said that she would release everything. On Sunday, the judge said "We'll see."

How do trolls feel about it?

No indictment. Let's hope the collateral damage is at a minimum and no one gets hurt.

I'm confused as well. According to USA today, the announcement will be made at 9pm est/ 8 central.

ZetaPhi708.20 11-24-2014 08:51 PM

Yes, the announcement will allegedly be at 9:00pm(est) tonight.

I'm seeing on Twitter (#Ferguson is the number 1 trending topic tonight) that the NYPD and the LAPD are on tactical alert also.
