I've heard the same. It's been either feast or famine for all the girls we know; perfect rushes (well, not at UGa) or releases.

is there a formal procedure for withdrawal? How do you know if someone just doesn't show up?

Questions your daughter should ask her Recruitment Counselor.

Titchou 08-19-2011 07:22 PM

Yes there is a withdrawal process but if you stop showing up they assume you have dropped out.

Attendance is also taken at each party for each round (so they know in minutes). If you skip a party because you dont like the chapter, but attend other parties, that isnt good. Most Panhellenics will automatically withdrawal a PNM from the recruitment process for doing that and rightfully so.

Worrying's just praying for something bad to happen.

Go to the parties with fresh eyes.

Pretend that there are no others and that these are the only chapters you've encounter. It helps you to really focus on whether you can see yourself in one of them (instead of on all the
groups that cut you.)

Also, remember that whether you have a full slate, or 2 or one, you can only get one bid.

Violet, that is great advice! (from a first time poster, but a long time lurker!!!)

PhoenixAzul 08-20-2011 08:19 AM

^ My Ohio friend (KSUViolet) is very wise.

Now that it is down to the final three, you have a great opportunity to deeply consider those three as individual chapters, not as three blips in the whirlwind of recruitment. Forget that the others exist. Focus on these chapters. Have fun!

Focus on the fact that you are still going to your top 2! So many other girls just wish that was the case for them....
Be positive!

Does anybody know what time is squeal?
What did quota end up being?
When/Where can we expect names and hometowns posted?

looney1 08-20-2011 10:24 AM

The PNM's report to the stadium at 945 this morning
Squeal is at 11
Brunch at the sorority houses after that!

Not sure when the list will be posted. It usually takes a few hours.

GeekyPenguin 08-20-2011 11:04 AM

Per a sister in Alabama, freshman quota is 73 and upperclassman quota is 7.
