My blog section has been all messed up recently and I'm not sure why.
It stopped "resetting" after the week was over to show the right number of posts/comments/views every week. Is this giong on with anyone else? |

did myspace get hijacked??
What the heck happened?
I went into my "sent" files to track a message I sent to a friend and I found that somehow, my account sent out like 10 messages with this: Hey everyone! 48771029 I just made an account at this FREE dating website. Its got way less pointless crap than on MySpace. Check it out, and search for me, by joining with the link below. 48771029 Hot Singles at Amateur Match 48771029 pretty sweet, huh? 48771029 3 What the hell happened? It was not ME who sent those out!!! It freaked me out so I changed my password. The messages were not even to any of my friends, they were just random people. ??????????? |

For the record, I don't click on links or even open SPAM bulletins when I see them. There are no tracker links or codes in my profile (I just checked) and I've downloaded Flash 9. When it comes to login redirects I tend to be cautious as well and I make sure that the login page is a real MySpace login page. I'm not sure if it's something everyone got or if someone phished my info. |

Those phishers I tell you, those login pages look so legit! |
As far as I know, Myspace.com is my homepage, so I dont' think I logged into one of those fake sites.
=however= I got a message in my inbox a few days ago and when I opened it, my IE went crazy. I didn't recognize the person who sent it, so I think maybe that might have been it? OTW- you mentioned something about tracker codes or whatnot in your profile... are those codes other people put in there to make your account do weird things like send out messages to random people? |
Quote:
And don't use IE anymore. ;) Tracker codes were created to track visitors, but once MySpace users went batshit crazy doing anything, clicking anything that might give them one that worked...a lot of phishers made new codes and falsely advertised them as trackers. Not sure what these codes really do, but you really shouldn't have em in there to begin with. |

I wonder what's going on? |
This is the first I've seen of this thread, but I've been MIA for a while and just lurking every so often.
Here's my link: http://www.myspace.com/sweetcarolanne |
I'm addicted to myspace thanks to finding out about it on this thread in June...been meaning to *thank* this thread, but been too busy on myspace:rolleyes:
Here's my link: http://www.myspace.com/zchi if anyone wants to stop by and say hi to a fellow greekchat-er/myspace-er! http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...omel/ifura.gif |
Dammit. Now I have the "sent email" problem. I changed my password. Is that all that needs to be done?
|
My MySpace link is in my sig!
|
Hi ya'll! Joel Osteen here! I finally jumped on the myspace bandwagon. Here's my link!

MySpace keeps crashing my home puter - is this due to some people's ridiculously complicated layouts?

myspace is planning on selling music from almost 3 million unsigned bands.

It sounds kinda shady. |
Quote:
I'd guess that they'll still get paid for this - but yeah, anything posted on a MySpace Music page can be used in, say, commercials? Etc? w/out the artist's permission (but most likely with appropriate compensation - read that for what you will). |

For some reason, I can't get myspace to come up on IE, but AOL is fine. I wonder if it had something to do with the stupid mirar toolbar I had to get off. |

Songs can be sold on the bands' MySpace pages and on fan pages, in non-copy-protected MP3 digital file format, which works on most digital players including Apple's market-dominating iPod. The bands will decide how much to charge per song after including MySpace's distribution fee, said Rusty Rueff, the chief executive of Snocap, which will manage the e-commerce service. Snocap provides digital licensing and copyright management services and was started by Napster founder Shawn Fanning. Rueff said the "small" distribution fee was not yet fixed. BOOMING SECTOR DeWolfe said MySpace would be "enhancing and customizing" its online music store as the service evolves, aiming to eventually offer copyright-protected songs from major record companies. |
Is MySpace down again?

I think on the day I posted that, it was off and on for a few hours or so. |
is search not working for anyone else?
|
I apologize if I'm late with this, but...
If you were one of the folx who saw that they had SPAM in their Sent Messages, read here. If the link doesn't work, go to Forums, then MySpace, then General. Apparently it's some kind of exploit...not a hack, that infects your 'Heroes' section. I don't know how the heck it gets in there, but check your 'Heroes' to see if it's in there and then take it out! |

At least one thing is malfunctioning whenever I sign on, so I've just accepted it as part of the deal.

that's crazy. $500 for a hitman?
that reminds me of Myspace: The Movie. "why am i not on your top 8?! i'm your girlfriend! who are these girls?" |
that's crazy!!!!
I heard on the radio of a couple that was married for like 5 years and got a divorce because he kept claiming to be single and all 5462132165 of his myspace friends were like 18 yr old girls. Dirty! Isn't there an icon somewhere that says "MySpace ruined my life"? :p |
i don't understand why the counters on myspace are always messed up. they've got one job: count. The Count was pretty good at that. ("ah-ah-ahhh 6. 6 vonderfool cupcakes.")
5 minutes ago, i had 48 plays, 0 downloads (artist.) now i've got 108 plays and 1 download? ricockulous. i hope myspace doesn't have the same errors when it's selling unsigned artists' music. |
anyone else having trouble doing music searches on myspace?
|
anyone else not able to log in?
