Did you go to your Prom? Yes, Junior and Senior year

What did you wear? Colors?
I wore red my Junior year and black and white during my senior year.

Were you prom king/queen? Nope

Did you go with someone special or friend?
I went with my someone special at that time.

What was your prom theme?
One Moment in Time (remember the Whitney Houston song from the Olympics)

How much did your prom cost?
My dress was probably $100
My shoes ?
My hair was roughly $30
It was almost 14 years ago, so I really don't remember. Yes, I'm old!!!!!;)

PerfectVerse06 03-28-2006 04:39 PM

Has this been posted already? If not check this dress out....

Honeykiss1974 03-28-2006 04:59 PM

Ewww, although for some, I'm sure that dress would come in handy on prom night.

PerfectVerse06 03-28-2006 10:04 PM

I know, Honeykiss! I was like  when I first saw that picture.

Angel11E01 03-29-2006 08:56 PM

Did you go to your prom?

Yes. I went to Beaumont School c/o 97 prom. It was at Windows on the River, in Cleveland - in the flats. Absolutely beautiful scenery! Afterprom was at Jillians. The day after prom, we went to Cedar Point. Had a great time!

What did you wear? Colors?

I wore a beautiful seafoam (blue-green) dress. It was beautiful, and I felt like a queen!
Coincidentally, I'm thinking of bm dresses in seafoam.

Were you prom king/queen?

If I remember correctly, Sharia was prom queen. (she eventually became a Soror - Sigma Sp 99, iirc)

Did you go with someone special or friend?
No. He was a friend of a friend. I just didn't want to go alone...Although the FI wanted to take me to prom, LOL. But hey -- I didnt like him back then.

What was your prom theme?

I can't remember. It was the title of some rock song.... The Black folks wanted Always and Forever. That was promptly shut down. LOL.

How much did your prom cost? Some proms now have ish prices?

The prom costed like 250, or something like that. So most of the students sold candy bars to offset the prices. Talk about hustling... LOL
Shoot, the dress was expensive (like 300 bucks) and my sands and I rented a Beautiful Mercedes Benz limo to transport us all around town. It was great! We felt like stars!!

Re: FLASHBACK to your PROM

Did you go to your prom?

yes

What did you wear?
black dress with diagonal rhinestone zipper in the front and the back was cut in a diamond...

Colors?
of the prom...can't remember...but my date and I wore black & brown

Were you prom king/queen?
no

Did you go with someone special or friend?
special friend :-)

What was your prom theme?
A night to Remember

How much did your prom cost? Some proms now have :eek:ish prices?

$65 per tickets
$50 (may have been less than that...for my junior prom, my date took me to Philips Flagship Restaurant, but for my senior year, I was addicted to Planet Hollywood - so from my request - we went there).
$25 - nails
$20 - hair (because my beautician was a family friend I got my hair done very inexpensively during high school)

dzdst796 05-10-2006 01:10 PM

I did not go to my prom. Mostly because my last year in high school was my first year at that school. Also I was a Delta Debutante that year and my mother had already spent a lot of money on that. But I did go on my senior trip and that was FUNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

DSTRen13 05-10-2006 01:45 PM

Did you go to your prom? Yes, junior and senior year.
What did you wear? Colors? Junior year I wore a lavendar sparkly dress, senior year I wore an orange shiny dress with hot pink trim. Both of them were poofy.
Were you prom king/queen? Ha ha, no.
Did you go with someone special or friend? Junior year I went with a large group of friends, senior year I went with a guy I was on the debate team with.
What was your prom theme? I don't remember, but I think something to do with stars since our school's name was Starr's Mill.
How much did your prom cost? Some proms now have ish prices? I don't remember; probably a lot. They were both nice ... the location we had senior prom would be nice for my wedding, except that it has the stigma of being where I had my senior prom. Oh well.

The chest jutting out is sad true enough but why are you all ignoring her gold hair (wig/weave) with what appears to be finger waves? :o :(

I'm ignoring her hair cuz I don't feel like crying today. :(

Lexy70 05-11-2006 06:13 PM

Well, I heard the pictures were up so I had to come and post. I am the person who took these pictures. My daughter is the one on the far right in the picture with the little boy (my daughter's date - actually she was his date) in the pink (looks kinda white) dress just past the knees.

I must say, when I first saw the little girl in the gold, my mouth hit the floor. Someone asked about her hair. It was a weave cap. No finger waves. Her mother is a hair dresser and made it for her. You can't see it in the picture, but her dress had a train. Also take note that the is COACH material. Both pairs of shoes, in addition to her pocketbook were also made from the material.

In case you were wondering about the crowns.... No, they didn't win Prom King and Queen. Every little girl got the tiara, and every little boy got the crown.

This little girl also showed up in a limo. My brother-in-law called her Baby Kim. These pictures are 3 years old. I wonder what mess she's into now. What does she have to look forward to? The life of a stripper.

Lexy70 05-11-2006 06:15 PM

p.s. I also sent this to hotghettomess.com so keep checking there to see if they use it as the Mess of the Month.

I dang near choked while seeing this picture. This young girl has blond hair and the dress is horrible, just horrible. Oh my goodness. Her parental unit(s) need to be pimp slapped.

DC_Zeta1920 05-16-2006 01:59 PM

Did you go to your prom?

Yes. Regretfully

What did you wear? Colors?

This hideous powder blue dress my grandmother wanted me to wear. I wanted to wear all black but because it was her money, I had no say so

Were you prom king/queen?
No

Did you go with someone special or friend?
A friend. He liked me but the feeling wasn't mutual. Sad to say but a few months later he comitted a robbery and got deported back to Trinidad.

What was your prom theme?

I can't remember what it was

How much did your prom cost? Some proms now have ish prices?

Don't remember

I was wondering when the recently passed prom season would bring us some new goodies... actually, I think i've seen a little too much in the way of "goodies" in those pics!

StarFish106 06-13-2006 02:03 PM

What in the hades is wrong with these chicks? It's like vegas showgirls on a budget!!! and where did the youn'un's get all that $$ from? uhh I think I need to lay down...that was sad!

AOIIBrandi 06-13-2006 03:03 PM

Does anyone know where these were taken. The one where the girl is wearing the orange dracula looking dress looks like the parking lot at Turner Field.

The files that I received mentioned a Kennedy High but I know there are Kennedy High Schools everywhere.

TonyB06 06-13-2006 03:13 PM

In the background of one of pictures is a street intersection sign identifying the intersection of "Larame and Ohio Street."

Whose ever city has this intersection, it's time to come clean. ....you can still act like it's your high school rival and not your school.

Home girl needs more mammaries or smaller top to even try to attempt to pull that dress off. All of the dresses look worse than homemade. They look these were the girls' sewing projects. :(
