Just asking for no special reason:

The Pi Phi numbers -- 39 plus 14 -- don't add up to the last number given -- 51. In the other six instances, it seems that the first number plus the number in parentheses do add up to the last number given.

Why? (Assuming that there's an answer other than "that's the way it is."

ladybug12 09-13-2011 08:26 PM

mistake

Obviously I should not multi-task when attempting math.

You are correct, Pi Phi should show 12 upperclass rather than 14 with a total of 51 new members.:o

navane 09-13-2011 08:59 PM

Did quota really jump from 37 to 65 in one year? I would almost say they need to bring in another chapter except it looks like when they bring in a new one they loose an existing one.

I have some Kent State results. Quota = 44. Tri Sigma has 40 and will most likely COB to quota within the week. All others, quota or quota plus! I'll add exact numbers as I hear them.

This year's recruitment was excellent!

Heard quota was 47 - DG got quota +3 = 50 new members. WOW!

KSUViolet06 09-18-2011 09:56 PM

^^^You're right. I JUST got a text correcting me.

As you can tell, I am WAY excited. These are such HUGE numbers compared to when I was in school (back when quota = like 15 to 20.)

Agree - that's how it was when I started advising there!! I went back to last years DG fall recruitment post and it's 10 more than last year. Way excited!

Congrats to Sigma on their success - your chapter has come a long way in the past several years!!!

KSUViolet06 09-18-2011 10:09 PM

I really think we may be headed for expansion in the next couple of years. I think the only thing that would be a hinderance is the lack of housing unless they want to build in the Greek Village area where what USED to be Sigma Nu is (SN is now being occupied by Kappa Sigma) -- that is if there are anymore GV lots left and they're affordable.)
