exactly, it seems to me the more "presitge" a fraternity has for being a member of it or the more popular it is with the girls, the more harder drugs like acid and coke and all types of pills are present. I don't know why the two would be linked at all, but thats really how it is these days. Theres def a trend at USC, and so i hear at UGA or Bama.

So when you said KA, SAE, and EN were top in the south, why didn't Fiji/ Phi Gam get a mention? We're bottom tier at UF and USC. Top at UGA, UTenn, UTexas, Bama, Auburn and middle everywhere else. SAE is bottom tier here and EN is near the bottom of the middle.

Fiji doesn't get alot of respect because it's not a Southern fraternity, honestly. KA, EN, and SAE are. And I'd throw in Phi Delt even though they're not southern. Though, I'm not terribly sure about them being top at Auburn. And at Bama, they're old row but i'm told they take too many legacies.

I don't like to associate with something known for being a "coke fraternity". Because i def know of a couple of those types on dif campuses

Coke is back.....that's for sure.

This amazes me. Has the price gone down that much?

It's cheap here....but that's just location.

30$ a gram for the high society. Varies regionally though.

For the people I know who did coke in college, price was no object. Actually that would be an understatement.

The thing about coke use in (and agreed that "top" fraternities are more likely to do certain drugs than others) is that it's not always that apparent to people from the outside that such activities are going on. They can be very well covered up from freshmen and even sophomores in some case. I was surprised to discover this when I hit sophomore/junior year of college and everyone moved off campus. Although when I was in college the "coke" fraternity didn't really appear to suffer much in reputation. Not sure that will last though. A former "top" fraternity became very involved in pill/drug use (as well as multiple other issues, but drug use was the start) and went completely down the gutter--just in my 4 years at W&L. It started with coke, branched to pills, and then just went haywire. The first group I mentioned was only really known for some moderate coke use, and it was the top and remained so all my 4 years though. So I dunno.

Not in Fayetteville.

Not that it matters all that much, but 60-80 for a gram is normal here.

Back home, another story...30-40 a gram...

it's back in full swing in the fraternity houses.

It is very interesting that a discussion of tiers in the SEC has turned into tiers of drug users and addicts.

Society ranks users and addicts like that, too.

But I don't. They're all low level human beings (ok, that's kinda harsh, but still...) with a problem. Regardless of how much they spent for their habit, who they are, and what they do.

I actually agree with you there. Drugs = disgusting. Just recognizing the reality of public perception even though it's completely ridiculous as far as I'm concerned.

Hey, my powder cocaine addiction trumps your crack cocaine addiction. That means I'm wealthierererer and coolerererer than you.

You poor PCP-laced crack addicts who can't afford more than a public defender.

God forbid any of our high end fraternities see the likes of you! And, get this, no one would ever GUESS that WE'RE the drug addicts. But you all sooooo look and live like drug addicts. Ha!
