The older I get, the more I realize that I am attracted to women who have personalities that are similar to my mother! The funny thing is that growing up, we knocked heads on a regular basis, and now we still do (whenever we are in each other's company), but she and I are SO similar it is sick.

As long as I have a non-bar going, non- club going non- party girl who's down to earth. Then I'm good.

It's projection. I spent alot of time with my brother as a the male figure in my life because my father was in the Navy. Now I find myself generally attracted to guys like my brother... Which may not be such a good thing. At least I'm immune to some of their B.S.

Ugh. Everyone says I'm going to marry a man like my father. Excuse my language but HELL TO THE F#@K NO. I can't stand my father 95% of the time and made up my mind years ago to never date a man who was anything like him. I have not so far and fully intend to keep that trend going.

LOL, I'm glad you realize that "the list" changes. Speaking as a wholesome, down to earth woman who is from a "good family background," I'm not picking on you, I just see it from the other side. I think a man is entitled to any list he wants, but I also think it'd be a shame if someone I was totally compatible with walked away from me because he found out I have a tattoo. The fact that I have one is minor compared to the fact that it's tasteful and discrete. Or if a man dumped me because I had something stronger than a wine cooler. I think the fact that I can drink while still maintaining myself as a lady in public is more important than what's in the cup. I just hope that, when you meet someone you truly like, you don't let go of that good woman over something much smaller than the big picture. If you can do that, while still maintaing "the list," then have at it. ;)

CG, you make a great point, but at the same time there's just some things that I can't deal with no matter how nice the woman is. Hard liquor and tattoos are just two of the things that don't fit what I like. Of course she's not perfect, but neither am I, but some things I would just rather do without.

Christiangirl, you been tippin' the bottle tonight? That was some strong language coming from you...lol! I have been told by my closest friends and family that I am too picky with women. Maybe I am, but I think I deserve to be picky. Hell, Imma good catch!

I am similar, there are some negotiable things, but then are things that are non-negotiable...i.e. smoking, loud women, gold teeth, etc.

Nupe, I'm very picky too. I would rather be alone, than to be with someone who I'm not physically, mentally, or spiritually attracted to. I treat women with respect and I just want the same in return.

I am with you on that, I have every right to be FULLY happy. If a woman does not satisfy me mentally, and spiritually, then as fine as she may be...she's gonna have to go. And if I can't give the same to a woman, then I can understand why I would have to go too!

My inteview

Hey Nupes, I'm so excited. I never really posted much about this but I have to tell you guys this. Last month I had a presentation at school, and a lot of employers came out to look at everyones work. Ford didn't pay much attention to my renderings that I worked so hard on:(, instead they liked my ideation sketches. Well, to make a long story short, I talked to them and asked a lot of questions, which resulted in an interview which I had this morning. I have a 2nd interview Tuesday of next week. They seemed to like my portfolio, so I hope all goes well next Tuesday. The bad thing is Ford is hurtin' and have already laid off a lot of designers, but I don't have anything to lose. I'll keep you guys posted. Well, I guess it's time to head to "club" Borders Bookstore.:)
