Guess Susan figgered that she'd need a ride back to the city (according to her, som 90 minutes away) and was better off not doing anything.

But how 'bout Mr. Selfish? Why Carlos gon' try to impregnate his wife, knowing that he'll probably end up back in jail - federal prison, no less - and even if he doesn't, he won't be working like he was previously.

Carlos need not mess around like that. So you're going to get Gabby prego and then you go to prison for 5 years which means you will miss 5 years of your kid's life. Gabrielle makes $300 a modeling job which will not care for her and a kid.

I was however tickled at her going across the street to eat the chicken.

LMAO @ Bree and the pharmacist. When he shot his toe off, LMAO

Okay, I'm wondering how any of these people can afford to live on Wisteria Lane? I mean, Lynette's husband and Bree's soon-to-be husband both have jobs. But how can the restof these chicks afford to sit around and play poker in the middle of the day. Can't wait until next week.

Susan's an illustrator for kids' books + her alimony check, I guess.

The homes don't appear that grand on Wisteria Lane but for real, what does Lynette's husband do to be able to afford 2 cars, 4 kids, the former nanny, and all those toys. Lynette, though, usually appears very homely and unkempt.

Okay, I'm obsessed with it, but I was quite surprised that she wasn't wearing a durn choker to bed last week when hubby saw the nannies'. . . um. . . goodies.

Actually, with them bad boys, it's a wonder she has time to put it on. I think that's about as much time as she has for her make-up routine.

LOL, it was not until TWOP called attention to Lynette's chokers that I noticed them. Lynette needs a Jenny Jones makeover. :p

If I remember correctly from the 1st episode Lynette is a former business/advertising executive. Her husband is in sales of some kind.

I don't know where Wisteria Lane is (i.e. what state), but please do realize that what cost X in one state all too often costs 5X in a different state. I am learning this first hand, as houses that I consider crap are going for $500,000 in D.C. and I KNOW they would go for $45,000 in Houston.

As I look for a house here, I keep getting duped. I open the paper to a home that to me in my TX mentality would be worth $200,000 and do I get a reality check because in VA/MD its asking $1.2 million. So, perhaps Wisteria Lane is in a place with a real estate market more DC than Houston:) .

I understand all that. I'm just saying that for the most part those homes appear to be below $250K and that would be in an area where real estate is higher. Plus given Mrs. Huber's financial woes, unless her house was fully paid for by the time the show came on, I would not say any of the homes are more than that.

LMBO at the above comment....

My first time watching this show was last night (an old episode) and then tonight. I'm mad that I didn't tune in when it first aired. I'll definitely try to catch it from now on. Those people are kinda crazy, but I'm officially hooked!

Wonderful1908 01-23-2005 11:39 PM

Why do these parents give their children this much control. I mean we got Lynette's kids all over the place, Susan's daughter talking about she is not going to talk to her while she is being unreasonable and throwing the trash. Zach actually telling his Dad we are not moving. I mean WTH? They need to enforce some a** whoppings up and down Wisteria Lane, cause I'm not feeling that. Brie's kids demanding the Dad be at home and cared for, please help me!
