From my personal experience it seems that people at risk to actually commit suicide don't tell anyone generally. Or at least are pretty discreet about it. Those that go around saying it just want attention.

That's actually a very common and very dangerous misconception. People who discuss suicidal thoughts are just as likely to commit suicide as those who don't.

Sorry, I'll go back to my corner now. Just felt like that needed to be said. :o

Then maybe it's just the people I've had experience with.

We had this really wild guy Rush us my freshman year. We called him 'Crazy Steve.'

Expecting a bid, he tattooed "Sigma Pi" onto two of his fingers. Too much. Obviously didn't get a bid.

So, he Rushed my chapter the following semester. Not learning from his previous tactics, he updated his tattoo with the letters "Sigma Phi Epsilon" onto three of his fingers.

No bid.

But, he did get a bid from a local fraternity that semester. He scratched the other Greek letters off of his fingers (like, scratched the skin off) and scratched his new favorite's letters on his other hand.

He was dropped.

I haven't heard anything about him since he dropped out of the university that year.

What is with PNMs and tattoos? I'm glad we shouldn't ever have this problem as Jewish people rarely get tattoos.

You'd be shocked at the number of "AEPi" tattoos I have seen.
