I told ya'll Xiomara looked like Grace Jones. :p Shyyyyyyyyttttt Grace's features made her alot of money LOOKING LIKE THAT! There hasn't been anyone else like Grace since. Xiomara should have reflected on Boomerang and gotten into Grace's character to pull off that shoot.

Why did Tyra make it all about color (i.e. saying Xiomara didn't want to be Grace Jones because GJ is darker)? That didn't even cross my mind - in Xiomara's shoes, the fact that the person I'm portraying has been known to sport a crew cut would have made me have an EEK! moment too. But I heart Grace.

@33Girl, Skin color and intra-racial prejudice is a factor for Black women. Not all, but it is still a factor. I can understand Xiomara's lack of enthusiasm at being made up as Grace Jones. She did one helluva job as Grace Jones though.

oh, I know - and maybe that was part of it, but I think Tyra has to also factor in that Grace can look intimidating (to say the least) and not everyone digs that. I think Xiomara believes that "beautiful" and "strong" are mutually exclusive.

And then there was Catie as Marilyn Man-roe. Eeeek. There was just something about the way they made her up or the way she projected that came off as lacking any of the sensuality that MM had.

catie really really gets on my nerves. she's too immature. that man never said "hey waterworks!!! you're a slut hoe." anyone with a fraction of sense, an understanding and ears that work knew that they were there to be judged (think CRITIQUED) on the 'fits they put together. catie's 'fit wasn't cute and it did indeed look hookerish. and during that, i wanted to tell camille to STHU!!!!

the girls cheering april on was very tacky. and i know this isn't a sorority, it's a competition but are we going to hear that line every episode?

when they began announcing what celebrities they were going to make them into, i KNEW they were going to say grace jones for xiomara. i saw it coming and i was feeling her on her apprehension until they finished making her over. then i was like "oh, they DID that." but i don't think her apprehension was over being made darker but just being made into grace jones. who wants to intentionally look like grace jones? matter of fact, when i was younger, that was an insult. not because of how dark her skin is but because that woman is scary looking!

the last competition, i thought, was going to be a good one. giving them all the same accessories (so that there was no racing and fighting over stuff) and LETTING THEM put together their OWN look was a good idea. i thought that jenascia's accessorizing was very "her" and i thought the hat was a cute touch. i guess they aren't here to represent themselves and that's cool but what was the determining factor in sending jenascia home?

i enjoyed this week's episode....i felt bad for janacia, but she is tiny compared to some of them. when she was standing next to catie, i saw just how short she was....

speaking of catie, i didn't like one bit when she was poking fun at and imitating the girls (how they walk when they model) that got to go out to dinner. i'm ret for her fake, rootie-poot a$$ to go home.

i'm not really feeling sara. she seems so non chalant to me....

though i know neither would probably win, i want shandi or xiomara to win.

again, judging from the photos and how everyone loves her, it will be uwanna.

I don't understand what the determining factor was between Jenascia and Catie but she pulled the Selma out waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Catie did Marilyn.

So what if she's short, we need more short models in this country anyway. I mean how many women have you met in your lifetime that are at least 6'. We are the buyers of these products yet we are told we are too short to advertise them.

That's like being told you can buy the food from the 1950's deli but you can't sit at the counter and let everyone know that you eat here. (Extreme, but you get the point).

I what do you think the asians don't have models because a good portion of them are under 5'5?

Also, I think if Camille don't check her attitude she might get a surprise just for the fact none of them like her.

I think April, I think her name is-the really tall and different white girl would be a great model. She already fits everything you see in the media today because she's different. I believe that she'll get a job regardless.

Catie is too much of a cry baby and I think even if she did make it should wouldn't last very long.

Xiomara is aight. But She needs to watch herself too. She trying to be friends with the main people who are going to have her booted from the show because this is a competition and no one wants to lose.

Mercedes is pretty and excellent personality. And she better not get booted before Catie does.

I believe Janescia got the boot because she was mocking Tyra. At the photo shoot, Tyra was showing her how to move. Janescia mocked her. "Do this, do that."
Tyra doesn't play that when she gives them advice she wants them to use it. Remember Bethany the girl with the so-called big breasts. Tyra gave her advice and she threw it away.
