*** I also saw "A Guy Thing" starring Julia Stiles and Jason Lee. It was okay, but I wish I would have waited til it came on cable. |
Has anyone seen Down With Love? I really want to see it (Ewan's hot) ;) but a friend told me I shouldn't waste my money on it...any other opinions?
|
I saw two: The Italian Job and Anger Management. We got a new theatre in Valdosta, so I went twice. The Italian Job is so good...the best I've seen in awhile, and Anger Management is hilarious. I recommend both!

I saw Finding Nemo in the theater last night. Definately recommend it- I posted more in the Finding Nemo thread.
I also saw 3 films on DVD this week. (Yea- I'm really into movies). Casualties of War this is Vietnam War movie by DePalma tha came out in the 1980's. A totally disturbing film. I liked it except for the end. But it is seriously messed up & I don't think I can ever like Sean Penn again, even though he was just acting. Maxthis is a fairly recent film starring John Cusack :) He plays a German Jew who comes back from WWI missing the arm he painted with. So now he's an art dealer. He meets a young aspiring artist still in the army after WWI named Adolf Hitler. It's all about their relationship & you see Hitler being torn between art or politics so there's a big "what if" going on the whole time. Although I'm sure there were some liberties taken. Unfortunately I thought the ending was entirelty predictable, but I really liked it anyway. Y Tu Mama Tambien everyone who saw this Mexican film raved about it. All the reviewers loved it. Let me tell you- it's nothing special. It's just in Spanish. Although there are a lot of fully nude shots of guys, which is different. It's one of those "coming of age films" about teenage boys. Which means, sex, drugs & something that changes them from boy to man. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, either. And that's my movie review this week :D |
I also saw three movies this weekend:
El Crimen de Padre Amaro this Mexican movie stars the same young man who is in Y Tu Mama Tambien. I think both movies are absolutely fab. Bend it Like Beckham is a British film about a young Indian girl living in London who wants to play professional soccer while her parents want her to be a "good traditional Indian woman." I loved it. Full Frontal is a Hollywood wanna be art film. It is a serious waste of time, but I watched the whole thing b/c I am trying to finish the blanket I'm making for my sister's graduation. |
I saw "Wrong Turn" last night. It wasn't awful, but definetely not worth the $8 I paid to see it. I must add though, the leading guy (not Jeremy Sisto - the other guy) is quite nice to look at!!!

FINDING NEMO!!!!
I think everyone should see it!!! I'm going to see it again sometime this week. |
I just saw Harry Potter on HBO. That boy is so cute. :)
|
I just saw Bruce Almighty - I tell you, that is a HILARIOUS movie...
|
I finally saw Bend It Like Beckham. It was really, really good.
|
I just came back from seeing Bruce Almighty. It was good but I thought it was going to be a lot funnier than it turned out to be. I really want to see Finding Nemo after reading everyone's wonderful reviews of it on here.

I watched Fast and the Furious again. :)
|
I finally saw Matrix: Reloaded :D (My husband was in Europe when it came out, and he made me wait)
|
I went to the Movie Tavern this weekend... (for those of you who don't know what that is, it is basically a movie theater that you can order real food like pizza, and beer/wine in addition to the traditional movie favorite snacks & drinks)
I wanted a pizza and Dr. Pepper to go along with my movie experience (the pizzas are good!) and my boyfriend & his friend wanted to see "Wrong Turn". Ordering a pizza and watching that movie at the same time was a mistake. I couldn't eat the pizza, and the movie made me ill. :( They just had too many gruesome shots in that movie :o |
