Our Omega Associate Chapter (Wisconsin-Madison) was installed this past weekend. Welcome back Omega Chapter!
|
The Alpha Epsilon chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln will be closing at the end of the semester. It was announced to the Panhellenic chapters earlier this semester and announced via UNL Panhellenic’s Instagram yesterday.

DU conducted associate chapter ceremonies at Tufts University and The University of Tennessee at Knoxville this past weekend.

I finally have internet at home! I'll be updating as much as possible and starting the new year thread sometime in June.
Unfortunately, I was sent a long list of closures: Alpha Sigma Alpha - University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Colorado State University-Pueblo, Cleveland State University(OH) Alpha Omicron Pi - University of Washington Delta Zeta- Northwestern University(IL) Kappa Alpha Theta- Occidental College(CA) Kappa Kappa Gamma- Northwestern University(IL), University of Akron(OH), Colorado College Sigma Sigma Sigma- Coastal Carolina University(SC), Winthrop University(SC) Theta Phi Alpha- Plymouth State University(NH) |

This KKG chapter was founded in 1877, That was 145 years ago. What a loss. |
Alpha Phi installed their Kappa Lambda chapter at CU-Denver.
|
Per their National Website, Theta Phi Alpha closed their Gamma Kappa chapter at Wright State University.
|
It looks like Kappa Alpha Theta was founded at Occidental in 2004 and closed in February of 2022. Apparently they might have been the ONLY sorority on campus. Is this true? If so, then those young women on that campus have no options for a Greek experience.

Oxy has several local orgs.
|
There are two local sororities at Occidental.

Thanks shadokat and Xidelt!

I don't know if these have already been posted, but here are the following closures:
Delta Gamma - Washington University https://www.studlife.com/news/2022/0...draws-charter/ Alpha Delta Phi - Rutgers (per the university's website) |
DU closed it's chapter at North Dakota State due to low membership in 2021. The chapter wa originally colonized in 1969 and was installed in 1970.

"In Campus Life-reported statistics for the spring of 2021, Delta Gamma had seven active members and gained nine new members. Two years earlier, in spring of 2019, the chapter had reported 142 people in membership and 47 new members. Delta Gamma is not the first chapter to leave campus in recent years, as the Pi Beta Phi and Alpha Omicron Pi sororities voted to disband and leave campus during the 2020-2021 academic year... According to McLendon, the decision was made in early to mid-January 2022, but the review process started a few months earlier, in November 2021. Campus Life, as well as the Women’s Panhellenic Association (WPA) advocated on behalf of Delta Gamma, to “be able to hopefully get the national organization to see that there was something to work with here and that we could do some good things with them,” McLendon said. However, the advocacy efforts were ultimately unsuccessful." I remember reading articles from the Wash U student paper where various sorority members were quoted who felt that big changes needed to be made within their chapters, or they should close altogether, and indeed, that some of the memberships had voted to close their chapters. Washington University was one of the early anti-greek movements. So now Panhellenic is trying to advocate for the remaining chapters? Did they not realize that actions have consequences? |
The Wash U and Northwestern chapters break my heart. I hope they can return when the campus climate is better.
