I'll have to do this in installments, I got really burnt out after one outfit lol.
I'd wear the (brown) hair long, down and curly. White button-up blouse with pink cami peaking out the top, lots of warm pinks and bronzes in the eyes and cheeks. A soft pink polish and nice dark skinny jeans, sitting over pink ballet flats. Might consider wedges, but if it's a good first impression I'm going for, I'd rather not scare anyone by adding heels to my five feet ten inches just yet ;) Maybe on pref night. Okay absolutely on pref night! http://i52.tinypic.com/vq1tll.jpg |

I think this is a look I want to pump, and it'd be killer at a winter rush.
http://cf2.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-s...Hkg/size/x.jpg I'd love some vintage couture. Take me to St. Olaf in one of these! |
goldsiverbronz - I love all of those outfits!

Hey, so i have a question to those who have previously rushed =]
will sororities be offended if, say, i wear a blue dress, and blue is a certain sororities color? or a rose printed dress and a certain sororities' symbol is a rose? |
I really like alot of the outfits you all have created but I have a quick question or two.
Rush at my school is the week after labor day but I have some cute Lilly Pulitzer dresses I want to wear. Both of them would not work with black shoes but since it's after labor day is it okay to wear white with them? (If it helps, I go to NC State). And also, I have some really cute heels to wear that are sky high... and painful after an hour of continuous wear. Is it a faux paus to plan on carrying my shoes and wearing a back up pair between houses? |

http://www.jordynscloset.com/blog/wp...nude_pump1.jpg Definitely not black, and I'd steer clear of white just to be safe. If you can find a cute shoe that matches a color in your dress it MIGHT work, but there's also a chance that you will look like a 10 year old playing dress up. To answer your second question, there's nothing wrong with wearing comfy shoes between parties (in fact I'd encourage it!) but if they hurt so much you can't stand after an hour, that's a recipie for being sore and cranky. There's a chance you'll be standing through entire parties, and you won't be happy by the end of the night. It's probably best to look for a more comfortable pair. |
"Nude" shoes (for all races, and nude to all races) are really in right now. I have a pair of peep-toe nude Jessica Simpson pumps and I'm complemented on them all the time. Her shoes are ridiculously comfortable, too, believe it or not. They're sky high with a platform in the toe and I've worn them on 12 hour days with no problem.
