My co-worker lent me Fifty Shades of Grey. It was different than I thought it would be, and MUCH less scandalous than I was lead to believe by all the hoopla. I'm looking forward to eventually finishing the trilogy.

Just finished House of Mirth. Just started Emma.

I am reading "The Science of Yoga: The Risks and Rewards" by William J. Broad. It is prep work for my yoga teacher training that I start in January.

More than halfway through Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn - craziness.

bumping! *k_s e-voice* where my bibliophiles at?!

I am currently reading "Goodbye to All That," a series of short stories of writers on loving and leaving New York (fitting for where I am in life right now). I posted my list of books I'm looking forward to reading this summer in the WDYFLS thread, but I'm looking for a really good memoir or collection of short stories. Suggestions?

Would also love to hear what yall are reading these days.

I just finished reading The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Frye with my book club. It's a quiet book that starts very slowly (as in, it takes 100+ pages to get into it) but it's worth it. I was surprised but I really started to care about this quiet older man who didn't want any limelight and wasn't good at expressing himself.

I'm totally caught up with all of Rhys Bowen's murder mystery series...The Constable Evans series (I think she's done writing this series), The Molly Murphy series (ongoing), and the Royal Spyness series (ongoing).

Constable Evans is a modern day series set in North Wales. Molly Murphy is a turn of the century Irish immigrant/detective in New York. The Royal Spyness series is set in 1930s Britain, and the main character is the daughter of a Duke, who solves mysteries. They all have great characters, humor, etc. Fun summer reads -- but they got me through this long winter.

This summer, I'm really looking forward to the last-in-the-trilogy Deborah Harkness book in July, and the newest Diana Gabaldon Outlander book. I'm also looking forward to Charlaine Harris's first book in her post-Sookie series -- Midnight Crossroad. That comes out May 6.

I just finished The Talented Mr. Ripley. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

I am almost done with "Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness". I read it in about 2 weeks - which says something considering that I'm currently in graduate school.

It's a really good read if you're in to medical mysteries. I couldn't put it down!

With finals approaching the only thing I'm reading right now is A&P and Chemistry. Pathetic, I know.

I'm reading My First Ladies and Empty Mansions: The Mysterious Life of Huguette Clark and the Spending of a Great American Fortune. So far both are equally interesting and equally different!

I read that a few years ago! What did you think about it? I have several opinions, but no one else I know here has read it. I liked it overall.

I've read it a few times. Disturbing, but very good.
