"SAE"-Philippines = impostors!

ATTENTION ALL BROTHERS IN SAE:

Beware of the Philippine group calling itself 'Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity' and of any claims or assertions made by any member of the same.

In order to dispell any possible confusion resulting from their claims of membership or any other relationship with our Brotherhood, be advised they are an academic society of agricultural engineering with an existance limited to the past 40 or so years, as compared with our over a century and a half of tradition. They have never been, and are not presently affiliated with our Fraternity. They seem to have it in mind that by "borrowing" our Fraternity's name and brand associations, they may after some time convince us to accept them as Brothers.

Here's proof:

Don't these flags look similar, or is that just coincidence? Notice also the year 1856 written on "their" flag. Considering the Philippine group didn't exist prior to the 1940s and wasn't recognized by their founding campus until 1966, why would they memorialize a particular year that predated them by a century?

At any rate....this is what I just found from a video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMCsjg4pBu4)

"Their" flag:

and

SAE's official flag:

One of them wearing a t-shirt with "their" coat of arms:

Hmm, looks suspiciously like SAE's coa:

Seems they even stole your True Gentlemen slogan:

as well as your colors and "Phi Alpha."

A coincidence of having the same letters is one thing, but IMO this deserves some serious a**-kicking!

ETA: SAEalumnus, you just updated your post while I was typing. How on earth are they getting away with this? I noticed that none of these things are on their official website but they're using them just the same. Very sneaky. and smarmy
