Few quick convention questions!

Hi ladies.....I have a couple quick convention questions for you....

1. When After 5 and formal wear is stated as what to wear for something, what are you guys wearing? Full length evening gowns, little black dresses?

2. How dressed up are you guys getting for the rest of the week?

3. Any Recruitment chairs on here going?

I'm going with long and tea length for both formal nights. For Initiation and Honors of Epsilon Pi, I'll be wearing a white muumuu just like my fellow Hawaii sisters. They ask for business attire during meetings and sessions, but I've never been one to enjoy wearing powersuits, so I doubt I'll go all out for that.

I'm in the fashion show, so I won't be eating with everyone on Saturday.

Sunday: For Epsilon Pi on Sunday, I'm wearing a white dress that is sort of shaped like this Banana dress (http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse..._category=6006). It's a little longer than that, and I will have a white cardigan with me just in case.

Tuesday: I'm wearing a long mauve dress with a ruffly hem.

For during the day: I'm taking a skirt suit with me, as well as blouses and business casual tops and skirts.

Sat and Tues, long gowns.
Initiation - white dress
meetings - cute jackets with pants so afterward I can just put on a different top and not bring twice the clothes, lol
Can't decide for Monday at the Pier!

Hard to say exactly what collegiate officers are going to be there. It's required for the Pres to go, other than that depends on how much $$ was paid for through fundraising and/or personal funds.

You do pick up alot of rec. info!

That would be a yes for me for the last night. I brought 2 options for that night in case my feet are too swollen for a shorter dress.

I will likely be. Both of the dresses I'm bringing are short, mostly because I don't want to bring a garment bag with me. I have a little black dress for Saturday night and an aqua colored silk halter dress for Tuesday night. My Initiation attire consists of a mid-calf eylet skirt, a tank top, and a cardigan. As for everything else, I will probably be wearing skirts or capris. I won't be super-dressy, but I have the feeling some will be (and it will probably depend on what area they're from).

My sister-daughter went to the last Convention, and she said you'll see everything from formalwear to denim skirts, so I think you'd be able to get away with pretty much whatever.

The little black dress discussion has been flying with my alumnae club. Almost everyone is bringing one little black dress! If everybody wears them the same night, it will look like a Pref party!

That's funny - the dress I'm bringing was my Preference dress! I didn't even realize it until you mentioned it.

If you haven't already departed! One thing to bring is business cards. If you're doing a lot of address-swapping, cards are easier than scribbling.

And--I will be driving down on Sat. and keeping my car there. Too much to carry, with the quilt and the display stand and my luggage. Just in case anyone needs a ride somewhere!

As for my dresses --
Sat. will be tie-length (pun intended!), yellow/gold
Sun. white (of course)
Mon. two-piece blue (my dressiest "office" dress)
Tues. tea-length, celadon

I tried on the skirt I made from the official AGD fabric for the 1979 convention. It doesn't fit, and it can't be altered. Ah, well.

See you all soon!!
