Is that (the bolded above) because Mizzou will be in the SEC as of July 1?

I can't speak for other orgs, but my NPC HQ does not help pay for housing. Most houses are assets oft he local chapter's housing corporation. Others fall under the umbrella of the International Org's housing branch, but even so, the HQ offers the buying/borrowing power of a larger organization, but does not pay for the house.

Chi Omega "National" (no S, please) does not help with funding for houses. Each Chi Omega chapter has its own House Corporation, incorporated in the state where the house is located.

Usually the local chapter House Corporations have the "Capital Campaign Program" set up by chapter Alumni Assocations/ Alumni clubs to help pay for the funding of new or re-model chapter houses.
Just on a side note.....ZBT @ Univ. of Alabama (Psi) new chapter house on "new row" is in the final stages of construction and will be ready for the start of the Fall 2012. Sorry no pictures as of yet. Hopefully, by the time the International Convention in July, there will be some pictures available.

This. When I was wearing my local corp board hat we undertook a large renovation (for our campus- about $750,000) to the chapter house. The national housing corporation actually secured the loan for the project, and the local house corp pays the loan back to the national organization. But, it is paid for by the local house corp/chapter women/alumnae.

Nothing wrong with the s when the question is about more than one organization.

Only one NPC group at this time funds ALL their houses. Even then, the local chapter still has to pay back the loan. For some NPC groups, they will help SOME HC's secure financing or loan them the money. For others, they will help them research options and make recommendations. For still others, nothing is available. Bottom line is, no matter which NPC group it is, at some point the loan is paid by the local group.

I'm hoping this link works correctly. The link is to a Facebook page showing an aerial view of the University of Alabama's new sorority houses.

If the link doesn't work, you can go to Todd Media on Facebook. Look under photos and then in the University of Alabama File.

The Zeta Tau Alpha Housing Corporation is one of the oldest, started in late 70's, I believe. Assets over $30 million. They own or manage 100+ properties including houses, chapter rooms, suites, etc. A few ZTA houses are still owned by local housing corps. There is a national board of directors and they manage all renovations and help secure loans, among other things.
