Thought I'd post this pic because I recently went over and checked on the construction and saw that we have a lovely new purple door!

And the crews have started on the back deck!

Sigma Chi at Stanford

Sigma Nu at Stanford

I thought that there was no Greek housing at Stanford but recently learned that I was wrong. About half of the Panhellenic sororities have houses. Not sure what percentage of the fraternities.

Lambda Chi's chapter at U of Nebraska – Lincoln is getting a new $2 million + house:

http://journalstar.com/news/local/ed...aff996953.html

. . . Starting next fall, Lambda Chi Alpha members will have a brand new house at 1645 R St., just three blocks east of the old one at 1345 R St. This fall, the fraternity broke ground on the new house, which will provide room for nearly 60 members compared to the 35 members who can cram into the old house now.

The fraternity swapped land with UNL, giving up the property its old house sits on in exchange for the land at 1645 R St. Lambda Chi Alpha will spend more than $2 million to build the new house, which will be a three-story, brick veneer structure with 30 bedrooms. The house also will feature a computer lab, kitchen and private study areas. . . .

Alpha Tau Omega at Arkansas State Plans to Build New House

Alpha Tau Omega at Arkansas State Plans to Build New House

Article with architectural rendering of exteriot of planned new house>

http://www.asuherald.com/news/ato-mo...-row-1.2436411

Excerpt:

[I]. . . Due to an increase in members and a desire to see more faces at social functions, Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity is preparing to build a new house located on University Loop — where five other IFC fraternities currently reside — that will be able to house 17 members.

"There will be eight double suites and a Presidential suite at the front of the house – that's just living space," said Ashton Gilstrap of Little Rock, a senior political science who is the property chair for ATO. "The actual holding capacity, I couldn't even tell you. This house is going to be simply huge."

So is that an open courtyard in the center of the house (which could be awesome), or is it the flat top of the roof?
