Updates?

Shouldn't the AI process be in full swing again by now? Schools gearing up and Alumnae chapters are meeting again! So what gives? Where are all our PNAM's! I've seen a bunch of new gals, but where are the oldies...but goodies?

JennRN?
adduncan?
tinydancer?
ariesrising?

BIG thank yous to Jill and navane for keeping us posted...even when there isn't much to say!

I think things will pick up w/in the next 2-3 weeks for PNAMs...

After going thru some older threads it seems like the majority of the PNM/PNAM events get under way after Labor Day weekend before and /or after, (or even during (assisting other alums w/ the behind the scences stuff, etc.) during rush.

Then we (PNAMS) have the time factor of the alums getting to know the us.

That way new member ceremonies can be combined w/ collegiate chapters and possible arranging for the PNAMs to go thru initiation w/ the collegiate chapter (btn Oct--Dec for most GLOs).

Anyone please jump in if I'm wrong.

Edited for typos.

I haven't gotten the "official" word yet, but the latest on the street is that there will be an event on Sept. 20!! That's less than a month away now and I am getting soooo antsy about it.

My trip has taken almost a year so far. I narrowed my search down to 3, and when I found a wonderful sponsor for one, I decided definitely on one. We had a terrible time trying to make contact with alums in the Fort Worth group. After months of trying to get something going, it was suggested to us to contact the Dallas alum group. They have been incredibly supportive and interested in me. I have been to two events, but have yet to meet the alum president. She had to miss both parties. I think that is probably one of the hold-ups. I also think that this particular group has been burned before by ladies who were real gung-ho to AI, and after they were initiated, they all but dropped off the face of the earth. I have tried very hard to convince them that I am an active member in any group that I join.

OK, I guess it's time to spill one or two beans.

I've got a chapter that wants to sponsor me and some sponsors in a wonderful GLO that I am *positive* is home. I'm only hesitating to spill everything because nothing is certain until the bid comes in and that hasn't happened yet.

But I'll say this much: if/when I am initiated, it will be at a school within the city of Houston. So, it looks like I don't get to be an Aggie.

But the good news is--I really am almost home!

No, I think the hint is that it's a GLO that has a chapter at a Houston school! HMMMMMM...that narrows it down quite a bit!
