Question Signature files for dummies

Hi all-

I was wondering: Lots of you have cool signature files that include colors, quotes, etc. I am specifically looking to put my Greek letters and a picture in my signature, incorporating some colors (specifically light and dark blue...bet you're surprised). Anyway, those of you that use colors, letters, etc., how do you do it?

I believe when you go ot your profile, it has the different colors and fonts and all that you can add in your profile and then you just type it in . Play around with the buttons that are under vb code and then there should be some information there, if you need some help pm or something and I can help.

One time I tried to have a picture in my signature and it wouldn't let me...it doesn't even let you do the smilies! So as far as greek letters, my guess would be for font try CW?!?! We'll see as soon as I post this if it worked? Anyways...I didn't find yellow on the colors but i just typed it anyways and it works.

Good luck - just play around and see what you can come up with!

Okay, as you can all see I've got something okay, but here are some questions:

1) How do I make the Greek letters bigger? Stupid GC, why can't they just use normal HTML like the rest of the world?? I tried the standard font size tags but they didn't work.

2) How do I add a picture? According to the vB page, the picture actually has to be a link. I think I can do this...

3) How do I change the font so the signature is in a different font than the rest of the message?

DGPhoney...you have wonderful advice but I think I'm a freak...when I go into my profile under the vB button, it takes me to a not-very-helpful help page, but doesn't show me fonts, a list of tags I can actually use, etc. Ugh...I think I will be PM'ing you in the next 24 hours.

1) words and then end it approprietly. BTW you can do numbers like 6 or 8. My signature is size 6!

2) you cannot add an image to your signature. I've tried without success. to add a pic to a regular post however simply go to the website you want to take the picture from. Right click it and select "PROPORTIES". under that you'll see the www.blah blah blah.htlm --- copy that. then come on here... type [img]past and then close it like you normally would. VOLA! IMAGE!

3) simply type type message and then close it like you normally would

REMEMBER that to close all the url's or whatever you have to do a [/whatever]!

Funny to see this thread -- I've been trying to come up with something good to use as a signature for the longest...and I just can't come up with anything.
