Corbin,
LXA is also traditionally know as the Lamb Chops, Lamb Chop Shop, etc.... I'm not sure where the name comes from (I'm sure it's a joke regarding the word lamb, but I won't go there...)
Also, LXA's first meaning was "Loyal Collegiate Associates" which has been nicknamed Loyal College Asses, Little College Asses, etc...., of course, the true meaning of LXA, I won't go into... ZAX
Other's I've heard/seen posted: (I didn't make them up, so don't blame me...)
SAE - Somebody, Anybody, Everybody, or Same A$$****s Everywhere
AlphaPhi - All for Free
Chi Omega - Chi O, or, Chi Ho
Kappa Alpha Theta - Date-a-Theta
Tri Delts - Try a Delta
There are many many more out there...feel free to share yours...

Alpha Chi Omega...Almost Chi Omego or
A Chi Ho
Kappa Kappa Gamma...Visa, Visa, Mastercard

Hip Chic-
i think you had a little typo--i've heard of "Almost Chi Omega" (in reference to the Chi Omegas--there's sometimes a rivalry when both appear on the same campus)
Here's some more:
Phi Sigma Sigma--Phi Piggy Piggy
Kappa Alpha Theta--Kappa Alpha Faker
FIJI--F one J one wouldn't wanna be one
FIJI--F one J one everone wants to be one (depending on who you're talking to of course!)

Alpha Epsilon Pi's on my campus are called
APES.
Phi Kappa Sigma got the nickname of Skulls from the wearing of silver skull badges during the Civil War so the brothers in the North and South could recognize and avoid shooting each other.

Cashmere & AXGirl - Isn't this one laughable?
As for nicknames - all the ones at our school are pretty mean!

wow, my school doesn't have any nicknames like that, though each house does have a particular reputation. i guess it's kind of the same thing but it would be considered rude to use a nickname like the ones listed above. not that some aren't funny . . .

Also, at my school our Kappa Sigs were called "Toads" (because of a legend...if anyone wants to hear it, I'm more than willing to share, but I think it's a wee bit too sensitive for this board!) Oh, yeah...since we didn't have Tri-Delta, we called our Delta Taus "Try Delt...every other girl has." Since my school has like, 10 frats and two sororties, I know of other nicknames from other schools, NPC, NIC, and NPHC. They're kinda mean, tho.

My guess is that LXA is called Lamb Chops because it kind of fits the letters:
LAMBda CHi ---> LAMB CHops
I've also heard various nicknames for SAE and Sig Eps, such as Sigma Alpha Everyone or Sigma Pledge Everyone. I've also heard them called Sigma Phi HairSalon or Sigma Alpha HairSalon (I guess it depends on if the particular chapter is considered "preppy" on their campus).
My house, Sigma Tau Gamma, was sometimes called "Super Tough Guys." I'm not sure if it's meant to be derogatory or not. It probably is. I also heard of another nickname that we were called back before I joined, but I don't want to print it here because it was a racist nickname that made a reference to the ethnicity of our house.

Nicknames
Hey all, what are some nicknames your chapter has around campus? I know almost every fraternity has a nickname for the other ones on campus. Don't post any bad ones that might offend anyone.
AFAIK, our nickname on campus is the flies, as opposed to the chops or choppers. I've heard it was because of how dirty our house used to be and always had flies around. Personally, I and several of my brothers think it's because we're "The fly guys of Lambda Chi"

at the university of hartford, we've got a couple funny nicknames:
If you can't go greek, go TKE. If you can't go TKE, go home.
Delta Sigma Phi- Delta Sigma Dorks
Sigma Nu- Sigma Nerds
Theta Chi- Theta High
Sigma Alpha Mu- Sammys
Alpha Xi Delta (AZD)-All Zippers Down (or Easy D)
Sigma Kappa- Sigma Jappa (HUGE Jewish population)
SDT- STD, or Spending Daddy's Trillions
DPhiE- Dogs, Pigs and Elephants
oddly enough...Sigma Alpha Iota, my beloved fraternity, doesn't have a nickname that i know of. i know we're always called *the music chicks* but other than that, it's a mystery to me...

At my school -
TKE - If you can't go Greek, go TKE (same)
TKE has 2 f****** houses here. How are
you supposed to form deep friendships with
like 200 guys???
Tri-Delta - If you can't get any, Tri-Delta
LXA - Rammed-A-Guy
Pi Kappa Phi - Pi Phi for Boys (they pull NO
girls here)
ZBT - Zeta Beta Jew (my roomate is a pledge
there, and they're not the strongest house
but there's also nothing wrong with them,
so I needed something to sting him with,
so I constantly bring up their once-Jewish
history.)
ADPi - Ugly Girls

At my school we had 6 sororities and around 16 fraternities. My fraternity had bad and good nicknames. The bad ones werent true and I wont repeat. The good ones I guess were "rich guys", "preppy", "athletes". As far as sororities we called the gamma phi betas, "gumbies", why I have no idea. All of the other sorority names I wont repeat. I remember some of my brothers called kappa sig, "kappa shmeg", which we hung out with a lot and I had a few friends with. Sigma chi, 'the storks'. Sigma Nu, "Sigma Nerd".
Sig Ep, "sigma phi em all", and the Axps were crows. I've heard the same thing about Tke also. We never had Tri delt or KAO at my school.

I do not mean to be a party pooper, but, I will be....Is this the most positive topic? I mean, Sammy, Skulls, these are ok, but the listing of derogatory names that are given are not only perpetuating them, but introducing them to people who may never have heard them before, thus, assuring their continuation. I wish we could talk about more Greek-positive things!!! THANKS!
